Exercise A: Frame your Ideas. Complete this questionnaire about your


ideal community. How closely do your answers describe where you live
now? In what ways are they different?

Whether you´re planning to move soon or just dreaming about your


future, this questionnaire will help focus on what´s most important to
you.

Exercise E: Understand idioms and expressions. Write an expression


from the Spotlight for each definition.

Word study practice: Use a dictionary to find antonyms of these words.


Then make a list of other adjectives with negative prefixes.

Activate word to study: Write sentences that describe inappropriate

Exercise G. Grammar practice. Combine two statements using a possessive


gerund.

mugger and burglar in the reading. Then choose the kind of criminal who
committed each crime below.

Exercise D: Combine the sentences, using paired conjunctions.
