CONTEXT In our second day of duty we focused on the topics
regarding our case analysis. Our patient has been
diagnosed with primary insufficiency and we have
discussed about the case introduction about the
condition, health history of the patient,
pathophysiology, nursing diagnosis, diagnostic
tests, types of assessments, nursing care, and drug
study.

This was a very productive day. I was able to

EXPERIENCE breakdown the different topics that our clinical
instructor has provided us and learned a lot from
them. He asked questions that were in the board
exam which was very helpful because it can help us
be prepared and know what questions we may
encounter in the board. I have easily understood the
lessons and took up new information in the process.

REFLECTION The immune system protects the body from outside

invaders, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and toxins
(chemicals produced by microbes). It is made up of
different organs, cells, and proteins that work
together. There are two main parts of the immune
system: The innate immune system, which you are
born with. It is important to protect our patient who
is immunocompromised because they are not
protected from these factors that can affect their
health.
I will do more readings so that I may be prepared in
ACTION our duty. One step on this is familiarizing the case
and its components because I may encounter this
type of case in the future when I am a registered
nurse or on duty. That is why I must be prepared
when the time comes especially in nursing care for
the patient.

Overall, I have learned a lot from this day and I am
EVALUATION sure to learn more in the upcoming days and weeks.
Looking forward for the next case that we will learn
next week.
