System Analysis and Design
Individual Assessment Task:

Consider the following case scenario:

1. Assume you are a system analyst who will be conducting a requirement
analysis for an individually owned brick-and-mortar retail store with a
point-of-sale system. Identify who the typical internal and external users
might include.
a) External user – is often the recipients of the end product or services from
the organization.
b) Internal user – on the other hand is the workers or employee of the
organization.

2. Assume you are a systems analyst for a consulting company and have
been asked to assist the chief executive officer (CEO) of a regional bank.
The bank recently implemented a plan to reduce the number of staff,
including loan officers, as a strategy to maintain profitability.
Subsequently, the bank has experienced chronic problems with
backlogged loan requests because of the limited number of loan officers
who are able to review and approve or disapprove loans. The CEO of the
bank is interested in solutions that would allow the approval process to
move faster without increasing the number of loan officers, and has
engaged your company to come up with suggestions. What is one type of
system that you might recommend to the bank?

a) Loan Management System – as a system analyst this is the only solution

I could suggest to the CEO of the company. This system will help them to
organize the process of loan without increasing the number of loan
officers. This system will enable them to spent high amount for creation of
the system but this system will benefit them in a long run.

and collaboration system for organizations are gmail, zoom, and Microsoft
teams.

system that helps in decision making at the top-level of an organization.
Clerical workers typically used this as compared to other types of
information system, Executive Support Systems (ESS) offer more general
computing capabilities, better telecommunications and efficient display
options. They use the advanced graphics software to display the critical
information in the form of charts or graphs that help senior executives to
solve a wide range of problems.

5. Briefly explain the impact of Web services on Web development. Give some
examples of Web services.

a) The web services is adding data services or content rendering services to web
development. It helps web development to create an effective website that can
be used efficiently by the users.

4. Web Services Description Language (WSDL)
5. Web Services Conversation Language (WSCL)
6. Web Services Flow Language (WSFL)
7. Web Services Metadata Exchange (WS-MetadataExchange)
8. XML Interface for Network Services (XINS)

6. Research the average and/or median salaries for IT professionals; you can use a
variety of methods to find this information, such as searching the Web for online
sites that publish the results of salary surveys for IT professionals. You can also
look at classified ads in newspapers, trade magazines, and/or online.
