III. Procedure:
A. Drill: Follow short commands

Clap your hands Raise your hand

B. Review:
Yesterday, we have learned the poem, “Two Yellow
Mangoes”

1. What was the poem about? (The poem was about the ripe mangoes
on a tree)
2. What was the color of the ripe mangoes? (Yellow)
3. How many yellow mangoes do we have in the poem? (Two Yellow
Mangoes)
4. Have you memorized the poem? (Yes, Ma’am)
5. The teachers call the brighter pupil to recite first, then let other
recite. (Pupils recite the poem)

C. Motivation:
1. The teacher presents a picture of a child feeding a little kitten
2. What is the picture (A cat, a kitten, a child)
3. Do you have a little kitten at your home? Or a cat? (k) (yes, Ma’am)
4. What did you do with your kitten? Or Cat? (c) (I feed every morning,
noon time and evening)
5. Do you have any pet at home aside from the cat or a little kitten?
(k) Yes, Ma’am)
6. What other pet do you have? (k0 (We have a dog, a carabao, a
horse, a goat, a chicken)
7. Do you love your pet? (k) (Yes, Ma’am)
8. How do you show your love to your pets? (We show our love to our
pets by giving them foods, foods, giving them shelter, caring them.)

Pupils are made to follow the action after reading of the
poem by row

Activity 2: Pupils get and read several example of the rhyming word
on the flash card

Activity 3: (Average Learner)


Two pupils get are called after the other to pair rhyming
words found flashcards and to be placed in the pocket
chart.

Activity 4: (Fast Learner)


Pupils are made to give a pair of rhyme words

A. Pagganyak:
Sabihin: Ihanay ang mga titik ng alpabeto ayon sa patinig at
katinig. Basihan ang mag titik at pagkatapos ibigay ang mga
tunog nito.

B. Paglalahad:

1. Tumawag ng isang bata at ipakuha ang isang katinig at isang


patinig. Iatbi ang dalawa at ipadikit sa pisara.

2. Ipagtabi at idikit na naman ang mga nabuong pantig sa pisara. Ano


ang nabuo? Basahin ang mga nabuong salita.

C. Pagtatalakay:

Itanong: Ano ang mag mabubuo sa pagdugtong ng isang katinig at


isang patinig? Ano naman ang mabubuo kapag dalawa o mahigit pang
mga patinig ang ipinagdugtong? (5.19). (Magbigay pa ng halimbawa.
Paglambalin ang katinig at patinig o patinig at katinig. Pagkatapos
ipabasa sa mga bata ang salitang abuo)

D. Pagsasanay:

E. Paglalahat: Ang pagkabit sa katinig at patinig na letra ay makakabuo


ng isang pantig. At ang mga nabubuo na pantig upang maging salita.
