Questions for owners


FSM provides the advantage of controlling Tank Pressure closely to the required pressure
But....
• Would it be more efficient to allow the Tank Pressure to ramp up and down within a band instead of using FSM?
• What would be the acceptable tank pressure deviation in this case?
• How many times per day would one of the engines switch from Gas to Oil or Oil to Gas?
• Would it be ideal to automatically rotate the engine used as the “swing” engine to balance the maintenance period of valves/engine use?
• Which conditions would make this the preferred operating mode
mode, versus FSM versus other modes? Laden/Ballast? Range of NBOR? Does
this open opportunity for Dynamic Calculations in the IAS to recommend an operating mode based on Tank Pressure, Power Demand and
calculated NBOR?
