    Communication: Did you understand what was said to you? Are you talking about the right thing? Can
    you be understood despite errors? Have you conveyed your idea clearly? Is your language
    creative?
    Accuracy: Are you speaking with reasonably accurate grammar? Are your tenses correct? Do verbs and
    adjectives agree? Are pronouns used properly (subject, object, relative)?
    Fluency: Do you speak with a comfortable rate of speech? Is your speech smooth or are there several
    hesitations and pauses?
    Vocabulary: Do you use a variety of vocabulary learned in class? Is your vocabulary correct and
    appropriate for the context? Are you using a broad range of vocabulary or are you using more
    basic terms?
    Pronunciation: Is your pronunciation correct and easily understood (vowels, consonants, nasals, liaison)? Is
    your accent heavily influenced by your first language or are you approaching a more native-like
    pronunciation?
