The BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) program for Academic Year
2018-2019, 1st semester had an enrollment of 90, 60, & 166 students for the second year,
third year and fourth year, respectively. Thus, the pioneering batch of BS in Hospitality
Management (it is a renamed program of BSHRM) had an enrollment for the first year
level of 185 students.
Moreover, during the second semester of AY 2018-2019 the enrollment was 83, 52, & 166
for the second year, third year, & fourth year level, respectively. While, the first year
had an enrollment of 153 students. Hence, the retention rate is 91%.
II – NATIONAL COMPETENCIES
The National Competencies (NC’s) that the HRM students took were Front Office
Services and Events Management Services wherein the NC Passer for FO was 72 out of
74 takers. Events Management Services on the other hand had a 100% passing rate with
156/156 takers.

The College of Business Administration Faculty members attended the In-house
Capacitation Research Workshop held on October 2018 at the Octagon Hall, ZSCMST,
Zamboanga City. The workshop was spearheaded by the Executive Director and the
Speaker was no-less than the Executive Director himself, Dr. Servando Halili.
Thus, the faculty were tasked to come-up with research proposal title wherein one of
the proposals they presented was “ The Customer Service Skills of Hospitality
Management students of ZSCMST: Basis for Curriculum/Syllabi Enhancement”

On February 2 and 9, 2019 the College of Business Administration
conducted the extension activity in the College- adopted barangay which is
Barangay Sta. Catalina. There were 16 participants during the extension
program dubbed as “Mi Trabajo, Mi Negosyo”. The flow of the program
was first, a discussion of Entrepreneurship wherein the speaker was Ms.
Jocelyn T. Almonte and the second part was a demonstration done by Ms
Marialyn B. Vicente and Ms. Anna Marie D. Fernando. The final part was
product output/cooking of the participants.
