batches online sessions to over 21,500 students
in one week

The company took early precautionary steps to combat the outbreak. In


line with Government notifications, the company took health and safety
protocol for its employees and its premises. All of Aptech’s Franchisee
centres were asked to pause the classes and requested the students to
stay home keeping the safety of students and the trainers in mind.
Alternative to class room trainings were evaluated and pilot trials in
various centres across the country were operationalized to ensure
feasibility of resuming business as usual during lockdown. The company
delivered over 5,100 batches of online sessions for over 21,500
students in 7 days.

to be resilient during the outbreak. It has developed a
detailed Pandemic Response Plan in the event of any disruption. The

thermometers have been provided to all employees.. It has also set up a
dedicated Corona 24x7 Helpdesk in India & Brazil to extend emergency
response and support to all its on-roll as well as off-roll employees. The
group has extended health insurance for all its employees and
dependents under Group Medi-claim policy to cover hospitalized
treatment for COVID-19

Program.

Zoho Corporation Pvt Ltd has announced a Small Business Emergency


Subscription Assistance Program. The company’s plan is to offer three
months fee waiver for software that small businesses are already using.
This will benefit 20,000 of its existing small business customers which
have 25 or fewer employees. They will get Zoho Wallet credits which will
be equivalent to three months of their bill. The small business owners
can choose to use the wallet credits as he or she deems fit.

It is also providing free access to its Zoho Remotely suite of web and
mobile apps for working remotely to all business until July 1, 2020. This
includes a set of 11 apps–ranging from video conferencing to document
management.

Nestlé steps up global response to COVID-19

Nestle announced that it is joining hands with the IFRC in response to


its emergency appeal. The Red Cross and Nestlé were both established
over a century ago, have common roots in Switzerland and are present
in almost every country in the world. Nestle will work together with IFRC
to provide urgent help for emergency services and caregivers and
strengthen healthcare systems. The company is also implemented
enhanced safety measures across its locations and is working very
closely with physicians to develop new tailored COVID-19 medical

Beximco, Bangladesh provides PPE worth Tk


15cr to healthcare professionals

In the wake of the global corona virus pandemic, Bangladeshi corporate


giant Beximco group has come forward to provide personal protective
equipment (PPE), medicines, and test kits for protecting the frontline
healthcare professionals who are dealing with the Covid- 19 patients
every day. Beximco Pharma, pharmaceutical division of the group, has
started distributing PPE, which include very high-quality imported
'TYVEK Protective Coveralls' (protective gowns), face masks, gloves,
protective goggles etc. The group is also arranging ventilators from
abroad for the critical corona virus patients, and providing financial
