Questions that were asked to the specific religions that were assigned to us:
1. Discuss their organizational structure.
2. How they view the Higher Being?
3. Who is their prominent Higher Being? Discuss how this person claimed to be a Higher
Being?
4. How they view afterlife and salvation?
5. What are their practices, rituals and beliefs?
6. How other individual can be part of their organization?
7. Can a member leave his or her current organization? What is the process if a member
decided to join other organization? What are the consequences that the person will
encounter?
6. Before an individual person becomes a member of our church, he/she will go first for
an interview. We want to know their background regarding spiritual aspects and what
leads them to come into our church.
And after that, we will tell them about what we believe and teach on our church.
Then goes a discipleship training with our pastor for just a month.
And if we truly saw their consistency and passion to worship and serve the Lord, we will
give them our membership profile for them to fill it up and we welcome them in front of
our members that these people or these individual is part of our church organization.
7. First of all, we don't have any power to hinder them to go to the other church. But
it's a sad story if a member leaves his/her own church.
But as a pastor of this church,
I would like to know and find out why he/she is leaving the church.
- if he/she is commiting a sin
- if he /she is having a bad relationship to other members or to pastor also.
- if he/she is not agree to our teaching and beliefs
-if he/she doesn't like our church.
-if he/she has a big problem
Before I'll take a move, i need to find out first why he/she is leaving. My action to that
question is depending on a situation.
If a member is doing and commiting a sin, we will take our step by step action on how to
rebuke him/her on what they are doing.
We will a biblical kind of restoring a person or biblical church discipline and you will find
it out in Matthew 18:15-20
Matt. 18:15
This is our prescription to church discipline. The goal of this process is restoration. If
successful, “you have gained your brother.”
Step one is to “tell him his fault” privately.
If he does not listen, or if he remains impenitent, follow step two: “take one or two
others along with you,” to fulfill the principle of Deut. 19:15.
And if he refuses to do so..
Follow Step three: tell it to the church. If he still refuses to repent, step three requires
that the matter be reported to the whole assembly (v. 17)—so that all may lovingly
pursue the sinning brother’s reconciliation. But failing that again,
You need to follow: step four means that the offender must be excommunicated,
regarded by the church as “a Gentile and a tax collector” or consider him/her as an
unbeliever.
The idea is not merely to punish the offender, or to shun him completely, but to remove
him as a detrimental influence from the fellowship of the church, and henceforth to
regard him as an evangelistic prospect rather than as a brother. Ultimately, the sin for
which he is excommunicated is a hardhearted impenitence. But because we are
commanded to continue love them, after that confrontation, we will try to reach them
out again as part of our restoration. But if he/she refuses again, he/she will never be a
part of our organization. He/she will decide to go to other churches if they want to.
Apostolic Pentecostal;
1. Discuss their organizational structure.
✓ United Pentecostal Church (UPC) is a one-God apostolic doctrine believers’
organization. The organization believes that there is no one higher than the Lord Jesus
Christ. As Philippine law requires that such group of people be organized, UPC is
henceforth formed. Officials of the organization are voted merely for leadership. They
are not in any way being worshipped. There is a pastor who leads for every local church.
Ephesians 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some
evangelists, and some pastors and teachers
2. How they view the Higher Being?
✓ The Lord whose name is Jesus Christ is our Saviour, the King of kings, Healer,
Provider, Protector, the Alpha and Omega, Creator
3. Who is their prominent Higher Being? Discuss how this person claimed to be a Higher
Being?
✓Jesus Christ
John 14:23 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is
above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and
on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father.
Revelation 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and
the end.
