Kindergarten Registration is Underway at

February Kindergarten registration is now in progress. If you
Word of the Month have a child that will be 5 years old on or before
September 1, 2011, please make sure you register

completing all registration forms and providing the
following items:
ƒ State issued Birth Certificate
ƒ Immunization Records
ƒ 3 proofs of residence: tax notice if home is owned
or rental lease if home is rented, plus 2 utility bills:
electric, water, phone or cable.
Registration forms can be completed in the school office. Please allow about 20

School District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties is sponsoring a walking

student participants will receive a t-shirt if registered by
February 21. Walking buddies and/or community members

Head lice are very common particularly in children. There is no connection between
head lice and the length of someone’s hair or the cleanliness of their hair, body,
home or school environment. The primary way head lice are spread is head to head
contact with a person who has head lice. The most common sign of head lice is
itching, but most people do not develop itching until after head lice have been
