Abstract. The reservoir sands in the Titas Field are composed of stacked sands which are divided into
three groups ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Sands. Among these three sands B & C layers are relatively in high
pressure zone, so proper modeling and reserve estimation of these zones can help to develop efficient
recovery process.
For this instance, this research work is accomplished, in which reservoir 3D modeling, gas
reserve estimation of Titas B&C sand is comprised. Required data sets are digitalized using Didger
geoprocessing Software. Using Petrel E&P Software 3D reservoir model is generated and GIIP is
calculated in volumetric method. Petrel software is used for the 3D geologic modeling, which features
a full use of drilling, seismic, well log and stratigraphic correlation data. In addition, the reservoir model
prepared by Petrel show the distribution of reserves more accurately. Consequently, the results indicated
that application of Petrel in reserve estimation reflects the exact scenario of the reservoir more
accurately and more objectively.
