BOTH: Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to Barangay Angoluan Harvest Festival
2019!
APRIL: Everyone here will agree to me that Filipinos love fiestas right partner?
GLY: You’re right partner. The word “fiesta” will bring a smile to the face of almost any Filipino.
After all a fiesta is a special time with friends, a time of fellowship, and of course my favourite,
a time for food.
APRIL: Oh I see partner. This event is more than just a festivity and enjoyment, because it is a
celebration of culture, talent and beauty of the very gorgeous and magnificent people here in
Barangay Angoluan.
GLY: In glory, gratitude and devotion to our patron, St. Vincent who dedicated himself to
serving the poor and is widely known as the premiere patronage of charity, spiritual help and
volunteers. As one of his famous adage says, “Love the poor. Honour them, my children, as you
would honour Christ himself”
APRIL: Absolutely partner, because despite all the tragic and impediments that we have
encountered, we remained resilient and strong. Well, we have been honoured by many nations
in the world because of our courage and valor to rise and have an optimistic view of what’s
happening, right partner?
GLY: Precisely partner, tonight then is a long revelry of joy and excitement combined with a
very memorable and meaningful celebration for us. This is a tell-tale sign that once again, we
will be on our old self and be proud of our achievements.
APRIL: Definitely partner, because tonight, we are set to conquer the center stage. Let us give
then ourselves a very refreshing activity and get ourselves back to the festival mood that had
been the way to unite us into becoming the best version of ourselves as seen on our abundant
blessings and overwhelming gratefulness for the greater glory of God.
GLY: I know you are all excited, so keep yourself affront and being the warm party on the roll.
II. PROCESSIONAL MARCH
GLY: This gathering will not be possible without these painstaking people. They are the shadow
behind the light of tonight’s festivity.
APRIL: As the song reminisces, they are the wind beneath the wings of this celebration.
GLY: And as an additional thought for that, they are the key that unlocks the potentials and
success of this event.
APRIL: Ladies and Gentlemen, may I request everyone to please stand as the dignitaries are
about to enter the hall. Let’s welcome the Executive Committees of Fiesta on their processional
march.
(Read the names of the executive committee of fiesta at the back of the invitation)
III. PRAYER
GLY: Let us lay the blanket of grace upon the ground. Somehow understanding, forgiveness,
vision and hope arrive to direct our paths. At this point in time, may I request Mr. Danilo Simbi,
our former barangay kagawad to induce us our deep reverence to the Father Almighty.
APRIL: And after which is the singing of the patriotism in us, be led by Mrs. Leonora P. Abon,
Barangay Treasurer.
(Please be seated)
GLY: At this juncture, let us now hear the words of wisdom and enlightenment from our very
respected, energetic and young looking barangay kagawad, barangay kagawad Emily V.
Santiago her opening remarks.
APRIL: The very supportive and beloved mother of our barangay will deliver the welcome
address through his eloquent and inspiring words. Ladies and Gentlemen, our very own
barangay captain, Hon. Teodora G. Aquino.
GLY: As what we have said earlier partner, tonight is a celebration of talent, because people
here in barangay Angoluan are really gifted and flair.
APRIL: I agree partner, we have the groove of the flawless dancers, the chime of the
impeccable singers and the heart of absolute performers.
GLY: Undeniably partner, we really have the eye and aptitude for talent, because as what the
tagline of SM says, here at Angoluan, we’ve got it all for you.
APRIL: That’s it partner, and I believe that even the heads of the facilitating team of this year’s
harvest festival are no exception.
GLY: Breaking the ice is a special intermission number coming from the very active, enthusiastic
and energetic Executive Committee and Barangay Officials. Let us give them a round of
applause.
