AAWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing

The lesson was about (missing addends). In addition, in the beginning of the lesson I told them
the rules of class then I introduce the lesson by showing the students video to guess what they
will be learned. Then I presented in the power point 2 questions about addition and 2 questions
about subtraction with missing addends, and explain for the students. Then I solved with them to
make sure they are understand by using electronic pen. After that, I told them to write the answers
in small paper and send it to me in the chat. And I put timer 10 minutes, when the time is finish students
send their work in the chat.

Who is the lesson for?

The lesson will represent to grade 2-5&6 girls and boys.


Where did the lesson take place?

It was in the Microsoft teems online Math classroom. The lesson was about The lesson was
about (missing addends).
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?

I try to achieve planning for learning by using high thinking questions. Also I try to achieve the
management of classroom by using timer to be the lesson organizes.
What did the students do?

The lesson was about (missing addends). In addition, in the beginning of the lesson I told them
the rules of class then I introduce the lesson by showing the students video to guess what they
will be learned. Then I presented in the power point 2 questions about addition and 2 questions
about subtraction with missing addends, and explain for the students. Then I solved with them to
make sure they are understand by using electronic pen. After that, I told them to write the answers
in small paper and send it to me in the chat. And I put timer 10 minutes, when the time is finish students
send their work in the chat. Then, I let students to moved to another activity lets move to another
missing addends activity. I explain for the students what they should to do for all four questions to
found the missing addends. Such as: her in the top we have the answers and in the box you should to
think and write the number that when we add it with 10 will equal 12. In Conclusion, I asked students
what they learned and they were answered by writing on the chat and I provide small quiz for students
to make sure they understand and they will choose A, B, C and D and they write on chat box.
Then I used formative assessment and I told them to send for me thumps up or thumps down if
they understand the lesson.

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?

In the begging of the lesson I did with the student’s are engage and interesting because they see
video and we used domino. Also when I explain them what they should to do in their activities
they were lesson to me and they did great job in their activities. They all responded to me
because they were enthusiastic to learn the missing addends.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?

In grade one, the students learned about adding objects. I connected the lesson by activities and
live worksheet and domino.
How well did you engage the students?

The students were engage when they do small quiz about missing addends and when they sow the
video. I notice that when I start the lesson the students were understand the missing addends
because I explain and help them.

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

My lesson matches the goals because I looked for lesson plane outcome and I make plane to help
students understand by planning engagement online quiz and activity. I found that the online
activities were appropriate for each level because the students were able to answers and find they
able to found the missing addends. Although I had to support students by checked their answers
in the chat, also said for them oral feedback

• In my next lesson, I will provide for them game link because the students like to play game and
when they will play it they will be confident and understand the concept easily.
