 Introduction

All pupils are encouraged to pursue extra-curricular interests as part of their

balanced education.
Whether through participation in sport, the arts, community support, or involvement in a vast array of
other activities such as Young Enterprise, Debating, Bridge, Photography, Film, Eco-Schools, Science and
Technology Clubs, the school magazine The Hutchesonian, or charity fund-raising, there is a club for
everyone and new clubs are created every year.

This booklet contains information about the many clubs and activities on offer at Hutchesons’ this year.

Junior Drama Club Senior Show
Junior Drama Club runs from August, The Senior Show gives all S4/5/6 pupils the

S3 Drama Club runs from January until March,
culminating in the S3 Drama Competition. Hutchie Film Unit

Amnesty International
The Hutchie Amnesty Group meets to learn about
and campaign for human rights issues across the
world. Each week our pupil-led group focus on
a different issue, and we don’t shy away from
some of the big questions - gender equality, the
use of torture, wrongful imprisonment, capital
punishment and the global refugee crisis. If you
are keen on world affairs, social justice, law or
just want to know more about how we can make a
difference, please come along.

Unity Games Development

Unity is a games development platform and has
been used to create several large titles including
Hearthstone, Cuphead and Escape from Tarkov. In
this club we will look at learning basic game design
by working through tutorials covering Unity, 3D
modelling and programming in C#. Previous
projects have included an analogue clock and
creating a rolling ball game.

Wellness Walks
Spending time outside, surrounded by natural
beauty, is an instant mood booster. Research
shows that the great outdoors can be great for both
our physical and mental health. Join us on a walk
and return to school refreshed and relaxed having
enjoyed some time walking in a local park.

Come and join us on the school plot and learn
