Work Order description

1. Issue a PTW, notify ECR and bridge and check radio communication before commencing this job.
2. Visually inspect pump for any defects.
3. Perform churn test as follows:
- Take control of F&G system from the CCR to ECR.
- Switch jockey pumps to manual
- Switch redundant fire pumps to manual.
- Open drain valve or deck hydrant until the pressure drops and pump starts automatically.
- Close the drain valve / or deck hydrant when pump starts. That should be at 6-7 bar.
- Check for leakages, excessive bearing temperature, noise and vibration. Do not run the pump for more than 2
minutes.
- Record suction/discharge pressures and motor current in the attached log sheet.
- Repeat for all fire pumps.
- Upon completion ensure jockey pumps and all fire pumps are set to auto mode.
- Return command of F&G system to CCR.
- Check Hydrophore Tank level and adjust if required.
Note: IMO Reg MSC.1/Circ/ 1432 para 5.1: "Operate all fire pumps to confirm they continue to
supply adequate pressure".

1. Issue a PTW, notify ECR and bridge and check radio communication before commencing this job.
Job coordinated together with Bridge.
2. Visually inspect pump for any defects.
Pumps were visually inspected and found in good work condition.
3. Perform churn test as follows:
- Switch jockey pumps to manual
Turned to manual mode
- Switch redundant fire pumps to manual.
Turned redundant pumps into manual mode during tests
- Open drain valve or deck hydrant until the pressure drops and pump starts automatically.
Opened hydrant on U-deck during the test.
- Close the drain valve / or deck hydrant when pump starts. That should be at 6-7 bar.
Done. Pump started normally. Approx 6.8 bar
- Check for leakages, excessive bearing temperature, noise and vibration. Do not run the pump for more than 2
minutes.
Pump started. No signal of leaks, abnormal temperatures, excessive noise or vibrations during the test.
- Record suction/discharge pressures and motor current in the attached log sheet.
Recorded. Log sheet attached.
- Upon completion ensure jockey pumps and all fire pumps are set to auto mode.
All system back on auto mode. No alarm remained in the system.
- Return command of F&G system to CCR.
F&G system control back to the Bridge (CCR)
- Check Hydrophore Tank level and adjust if required.
