Supplyof M/s Crompton Greaves make three phase squirrel cage induction motors as per the technical
specifications given below.
Quantity :1 No each.
Other specifications:
The motor shall conform to the latest editions of the following standards
IS: 2613: Specifications for the electrical performance of rotating electrical machines
2. The materials and components used in the motor supplied shall be of good quality.
3. The motor shall be supplied with 2 nos. anti condensation space heaters, one at driving
end and one at non driving end inside the stator assembly and the terminals shall be brought
out inside a separate space heater terminal box . Each heater shall be rated for 100 W, 240V
AC single phase and both the heaters must be connected in parallel. The terminal block for
the space heaters should be fixed near the cable termination box. The Motor shall be
provided with 3 nos of PT 100 RTDs for each phase of the stator winding. All the terminals of
the RTDs shall be brought out and terminated in a separate terminal box near the cable
terminal box.
4. The motor shall be supplied along with necessary accessories like terminal box with clear
terminal markings, shaft key, on line lubricating nipple, lifting hook properly fixed at the
top etc.
5. The motor shall be fixed with a name plate indicating all technical details as specified in
IS 325 clause 17, in addition the following information shall be added
a) Temperature rise in degrees at rated load
b) DE / NDE bearings and recommended lubricants
6. The supplier shall carry out all the routine tests and type tests including over speed
test as per IS:12615 at their works in the presence of department representatives.
The supplier must submit relevant QA plan and GA drawing with relevant
technical specifications and get it approved by the department.Important
dimensions like frame height,foot and fixing holes lengths,shaft length and diameter
must be suitable to match our existing dimensions. Only after getting the drawing
approval, the supplier should start the production of the motor.
7. 2 sets of type test results along with factory routine test certificates shall be submitted
before dispatch of the equipment.
8. The motor shall be supplied with a operating and maintenance manual giving the
complete technical details and procedure for installation, commissioning, operating and
maintenance of the motor including details of overall dimensions, bearings, terminal
box, spares with part number etc.
9. The motor shall be guaranteed for satisfactory performance and against any manufacturing
defects for a period of 18 months from the date of delivery.
10. The motor shall be suitably packed and protected to avoid transit damages.
Evaluation criteria:
1. The item is of proprietary in nature. So offers from those firms who offer motors other than
M/s Crompton greaves will be rejected.
2. Those firms who submit the bid for M/s Crompton greaves make motors must submit a valid
authorised dealership certificate issued directly by the manufacturer ,then only the firm’s
offer will be considered.
Acceptance criteria:
The following tests will be witnessed by our department representative at the manufacturer’s
factory premises as a part of pre dispatch inspection.
Tests on motors :
The following routine tests shall be performed by the supplier on each motor at the
manufacturer’s premises in presence of the department’s representative.
Routine Tests:
1. Dimension measurement
2. Insulation resistance test
3. Measurement of resistance of stator windings
4. No load test
5. Locked rotor test
6. Reduced voltage running up test
7. High voltage test
8. Overspeed test
9. Noise level measurement test
10. Vibration measurement test
Type Tests: The following shall constitute type tests and certificates of the below tests should
be provided.
1. Dimensions checking
2. Measurement of resistance of stator winding
3. No load test at rated voltage
4. Reduced voltage running up test at no load
5. Locked rotor test.
6. Full load test
7. Momentary overload test
8. Insulation resistance test
9. High voltage test
10. Test for vibration severity of motor
11. Test for noise levels of motor
12. Temperature rise test.
Payment criteria:
100% payment will be made after successful PDI and final acceptance after receiving the items
at our stores.
