START UP / TRACKING MANUAL

OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE

STARTING ENGINE (74kW 100hp)

1. Check that control levers are in neutral position, and all emergency stops are
released
2. Make sure no one is standing within 15m (50ft) of machine.
3. Set throttle lever to idle.
4. Refer to (Fig. 1) Insert key. Position 14 = no operating voltage.
5. Turn key clockwise (position 15), the charge, Emergency Machine stop and oil
pressure light will illuminate.
6. Turn key clockwise again position 17, the fuel light will illuminate, and alarm will
sound, hold for 10 seconds until engine cranks.
7. Release key after immediately the engine starts.

Engine will not start if the following lights remain red. See fault

Oil pressure.
Coolant Temperature.
Coolant Level.
Machine run lamp.
Fuel.
Machine stop.
Fuel filter.

The engine will start but will stop after a 2 minutes if the Hydraulic oil level is
illuminated.

The engine will start but will stop after 20 minutes if the Air filter blockage lamp.

TRACK CONTROL USING UMBILICAL CORD HANDSET

1. Connect the umbilical handset to the hopper end of the machine.


2. Refer to (Fig. 3) showing umbilical handset.
3. Ensure E-stop button (item 1) is release. Twist to unlock.

4. Start the engine.
5. Push track control levers down to activate track hydraulic circuits see Fig 4

6. Change switch 2 Fig. 3 from AUX to TRACK to activate handset the siren will
sound. There will be a 10 sec delay before the machine will move.
7. To move machine with hopper end moving forward, move both hold switches
(3&4) toward from the E-stop . To move in the opposite direction hold the
switches in the opposite direction.
8. To turn machine only use one of the switches above.
9. To stop engine in an emergency, while using umbilical handset, push red button
(Item 1).

TRACK CONTROL USING RADIO TRANSMITTER HANDSET (OPTION)

1. Disconnect umbilical cord plug (if connected)


2. Refer to Fig. 5 showing radio transmitter handset.
3. Push button 2 to activate handset, warning buzzer will be heard when active.

4. To move left track forward press button 3, release to stop.


5. To move left track backwards press button 5, release to stop.
6. To move right track forwards press button 4, release to stop.
7. To move right track backwards press button 6, release to stop.
8. Press button 2 to turn off remote, alarm will stop.
9. To stop engine in an EMERGENCY, press button 1.

RAISING SCREEN TAIL CONVEYOR FOR LOW LOADER AND SHIP
LOADING TRANSPORT

1. Using screen ram control valve lever 3 (Fg. 6) Raise the screenbox to relieve
pressure on the pin holding the screenbox.Remove the pin and raise the screen to
the maintenance hole. Do not raise this further as the machine may be damaged.
Replace the pin and lower the screen allowing the pin take the screen weight. (see
Fig. 7).
2. Retract the landing legs using landing leg control valve see item 2 fig. 9.

The machine is now ready to be put on a trailer or boat.

S130 Bogie option

Lifting machine into position for attaching to lorry unit procedure:

1. Start machine - Turn key fully on and hold until machine starts see picture
of the starter panel below:

2. Activate the hydraulic lever too raise the front jacking legs up to the
required level. See below were the lever is situated and which levers to use:

FOLD MACHINE TO MINIMUM LENGTH

THERE ARE 2 TRANSPORT POSITIONS FOR ALL S MACHINES

POSITION 1
When the machine leaves the factory it will be in position 1.
When raising the machine from the lowest transport position while the tail conveyor is
folded to position 1 the machine cannot be damaged when raising the screenbox to its
max height.

POSITION 2
Position 2 will is used to fold the machine into the smallest possible volume

To fold the conveyor to position 2 locate the hydraulic control at the rear left of the
machine. Loose the travel stay. Use left most handle to fold the conveyor.
