    requirement. The MEXA-600S employs the opacity method to

    performance far superior to that obtained using conventional

    Remote control operation


    With a remote controller, the MEXA-600S
    can be operated from inside a test vehicle,
    while the accelerator On/Off timing display
    makes the measurement simple and
    certain.

    Oil temperature and engine speed measurement


    Optional sensors for oil temperature and
    engine speed can be connected to the
    opacimeter, besides measurement data
    are displayed together with the smoke
    concentration.

    High reliability
    The MEXA-600S measures the opacity of diesel smoke by the
    light extinction principle. A small volume of the total exhaust is
    passed through a sample cell where the light absorption is
    measured. High repeatability is ensured via a simple calibration
    check function using optical filters.

    Varied data input/ output


    In addition to the standard LCD display and built-in printer, the
    MEXA-600S is also equipped with an RS-232C host connection,
    providing easy access and processing measurement results.
