CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the data gathered by the researchers regarding how

the system answers the statement of the problem. It includes the development of

the system and how it affects the beneficiaries (Beg’s Cafe). Also in this section

the results of the system evaluation based on the questionnaires designed to

determine the Functional Suitability, Performance Efficiency, Usability, Reliability,

Security, Maintainability and Portability of the developed Beg’s Café CMS.

COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM FOR SALARY, SALES AND REPORT

In this section discusses the current method of inventory and monitoring of

goods. The transactions are by nature in manual process. Transactions for the

issuance and receiving of foods are being recorded on a log book. The preparation

of the monthly inventory of the food are becoming a burden to the inventory.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM

The researcher used the Modular software design for the development of the

system. It is a process through which the expansion cycle of an application is

furthered. Modular programming is a software design technique that emphasizes

separating the functionality of a program into independent, interchangeable

modules, such that each contains everything necessary to execute only one

aspect of the desired functionality.

REQUIREMENT PLANNING

In this stage, the researcher reviewed areas immediately associated with the

system. This analysis produced a broad definition of the system requirements in

terms of the functions the system will support.

In April 05, 2019 the researcher gave a letter of proposal that explained the

features and functionalities of the system that the researcher was proposing. The

costing for the system development and even the Gantt Chart were lay-downed

on the proposal letter. The letter was signed and evaluated by Mr. Noel Esguera

and Mrs. Kristine Esguera, They are the owner of Beg’s Café. Below are the details

of the Proposal in Figure 2.

USER DESIGN

The researcher made a detailed analysis of the transaction related to the

system which included the POS with advance data analysis, payroll and inventory.

Analysis was completed by interview with the benefactors of the given system.

Following the analysis, the design of the system was drawn. System actions were

designed, and preliminary layouts of screens were developed. A plan for

implementing the system was prepared.

CONSTRUCTION

In this stage, the proponent finalized the design and built the system.

Furthermore, the researcher followed the software construction process that

consists of a series of “design-and-build” steps to have the opportunity to fine-

tune the requirements and assessment of the output software implementation.

The researcher used the following web development platform to construct

the system:

1. Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP). A widely use general purpose scripting

language that is used for the development of the project.

2. jQuery. A JavaScript library that allows the researcher to add extra

functionality to the system.

3. Ajax. A combination of Web development technologies used to make the

system look a dynamic website.

5. HTML5. The fifth major standard of HTML.

6. CSS. This stands for "Cascading Style Sheet." Cascading style sheets are

used by the researcher to format the layout of the system. Used to define text
styles, table sizes and other design aspect that is very vital for the overall

appearance of the system.
