Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Ingredients:
½ pound or 250 g unsalted butter
½ cup or 100 g white (granulated) sugar 1 cup or 200 g packed brown sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 2 large eggs 2 ¼ cups or 320 g all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 10 ounces or 300 g semisweet chocolate chunks (or favorite chocolate of choice)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment; mix butter, white sugar and brown sugar on medium speed until fluffy. 3. Add the vanilla extract and eggs and mix well. 4. Sift together flour and baking soda and add to mixing bowl; mix until just combined. 5. Fold in chocolate chips. 6. Form the dough into uniform size balls and space them apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. {A 1 ½ inch ice-cream scoop or a tablespoon can help you create uniform cookie balls}. 7. Bake for 15 minutes if you like your cookies chewy, longer if you like them crisp. (Approx. 20 minutes or until edges are golden brown and the cookie no longer looks ‘wet’). 8. Remove from oven, let cool on the pan for 5 minutes, and then transfer to a wire rack to cool. 9. Once cookies are cool, decorate with royal icing if desired!
