Medical Center in the form of masks and other toiletries. The school continues to
reach out to the communities of Barangay 719, 33 and 34.

opens WCM will continue to provide classes with its New Normal of Learning. Hence, there are three modes of learning,
Option A: Purely Offline or for students who do not have computer or no Internet access. Option B: Mixed, for students who

n January 12, 2020, Luzon was devastated by the phreatic eruptions of the
Taal Volcano in Batangas after being inactive for the past 42 years. Calabarzon, Metro Manila, and parts of Central Luzon and
Ilocos Region suffered from the ashfall that came from the volcano which resulted in suspension of classes, work, and flights.
Many families were affected by the disaster that’s why many private sectors offered help to the victims. The Wesleyan College
of Manila also took action to help the affected families. The school distributed relief goods, blankets and clothes for the
families with the help of the Philippine Red Cross.

We may have a different past and will have a different future but we are a
family. We’ve grown with the best teachers, classmates, and friends the
world has to give. Without them, we won’t have the memorable mo-
ments we would look back to. We might’ve not gotten all of the memo-
ries, but look back at all of them now. Look at the friendship that changed us
for the better, the laughter, the successes and failures, the passion, the
blood, sweat, and tears that we’ve poured all over on our works, the time
we’ve invested in studying, and the pursuit of knowledge and excellence.
Now, look at what you’ve become through it all.
We may not have the happy ending of the year that we had dreamed of,
but we get something much more meaningful. We made history. “This
virus may have robbed us the rest of our senior year but it will not rob us
of our happiness.” Padayon Class of 2020!
Sincerely,
Euclid Quemada, SSG President, SHS Graduate
God has been faithful in my journey here in Wesleyan College. It was 5 years of learning, fun and fellow-
ship that I will always be grateful for. Like what the writer of Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He has made everything beautiful
in its time”. The path towards learning was not easy and perfect but by God’s grace I was able to finish well and
endure the process. My character as a student was being honed while I was studying here in Wesleyan. I could
not buy those learning experiences anywhere.
God used people to help me achieve my full potential as a student. Our hardworking president, our be-
loved principal, our spiritual leader Bishop Nacpil, our fun and loving teachers, my classmates and friends, they all
played a big role in my journey here in Wesleyan. The support that they gave me encourage me to give my best in
everything. I enjoyed the moments I have with them and I will keep it in me as I face the new chapter in my life.
Success comes with years of preparation, hard work and God’s guidance. Even if we are facing a great
challenge in our lives like the COVID-19 pandemic, I will not let this situation stop me from learning. Our school
prepared us to face difficulties like this. I learned that I should use every opportunity to grow whatever the sea-
son and wherever I am. Most of all, Wesleyan College guide me to trust in God at all
times.

From my two years of experience being the President of the Supreme Student council, I’ve
learned that being a leader isn't simple. In fact, it is very hard. As a leader, you are
always under pressure to act like one. You have to earn the trust and respect of the
people you govern. You need to be the person people look up to. You should always
be open to negativity because you can't please everyone, including your colleagues.
The mistakes of your team are also your mistakes. Leadership is about taking
responsibility and not making excuses.
To my dear Wesleyanians, do not focus on the outcome of your plans and actions,
but focus on the learning process. Always remember that everything might not turn
out the way you expect it to be and that's okay. Don't pressure yourself into perfection
and let yourself do your thing with or without mistakes.

Team Euclid with its members, Euclid Quemada (Gr. 12), Ma. Daryl Sabareza (BS-BA), Ma. Lurena Eting (BS-BA), Jenella
Facun (BS-BA), Anna Mariel Jardin (BS-BA) was selected as one of the finalists for the Youth Entrepreneurs’ Convention with
the theme “Everyday Innovations” against four teams from UP and DLSU. The competition was concluded on February 1,
2020 at UP College of Business Administration in Quezon City.
“Joining YEC competition is like a roller-coaster experience. You will feel the excitement, the joy and pressure at the same
time.” Said Sabareza. “I learned that small things matters. Like how you will talk in front, the attitude that you will bring, the
confidence to face people and the courage to defend the product that you made.”
The competition consists of brainstorming a feasible, tangible product that will solve daily problems of 16 to 35 year -olds,
creating a presentation, and pitching it to the judges.
Before the said competition, a workshop was held on January 18, 2020 where senior high school and college students were
able to learn from the industry experts with various topics such as Discovering your Business Potential, How to Build your
Ecosystem, How to Sell Your Business Idea, Technological Entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, and Turning your Problem
into a Profitable Business at the Engineering Theater, located in Melchor Hall at UP Diliman.
