    TIMETABLE FIT: The Ss have previously worked on adverbs of frequencies

    AIMS: To allow Ss to practice speaking spontaneously and fluently about something that
    may provoke the use of words and phrases they have been learning recently
    A1: To develop Ss' ability to use language in real life situations
    A2: To give students controlled speaking practice to develop spoken accuracy.
    A3: To provide focus on pronunciation of the -s endings

    ASSUMPTIONS: The Ss have already studied adverbs of frequencies and they are
    familiar with making short sentences.

    ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS: 1. The teacher may face difficulties while explaining that
    certain pronouns require an “S” ending and some do not.

    1. PERSONALIZATION T will engage the Ss in a discussion by asking certain Plenary
    5 min questions to help Ss form their concept of the present simple T-S Speaking
    A1 tense. T will answer each question while repeating the answer
    twice to make sure that students understand.
    T will explain the definition (+ - ?) of present simple and
    show examples to create familiarity with the concept.
    2. GUIDE TO MEANING T will talk about what Ss do every day in an order Plenary
    7 min eg. I wake up at 6.30 am/ I have a shower/ I have breakfast/ I T-S Speaking
    A1 brush my teeth/ I put on my clothes/ I leave my house at 7.30/ S-T Copybooks/Writing
    I walk to the metrobus stop etc.
    3. HIGHLIGHT THE FORM T will provide a list of 20 verbs with their present simple Plenary, frontal, ALM Blackboard

    A2 T will read out the verbs and instruct the Ss to repeat the Speaking
    words after the T.
    The objective of the choral drill will be to help ensure that
    students are able to effectively pronounce the letter “S” at the
    end of the word that is in the present simple tense.
    4. INITIAL PRACTICE T will give each Ss a present simple worksheet that contains Plenary
    7 min 11 gap fill questions. There will be a verb bank at the top of Individual work Worksheet/Writing
    A2, A3 the sheet that will contain all possible answers. (Appendix 1) T-S

    5. SECONDARY PRACTICE The Ss will have to solve ex 2. (Appendix 2) Plenary Writing
