INTERIOR
Large cabin and luggage area
The X-TRAIL’s long wheelbase and estate rear creates plenty of room for five passengers
and luggage. With the back seats folded down you have a completely flat load area and
cavernous 1841 litres of space. The load area floor can be removed and hosed down to
clean.
Clever storage
There’s a place for everything in the X-TRAIL. The rear centre armrest folds down to reveal a
ski-hatch wide enough for a snowboard or a load of lumber. More storage for your personal
items is concealed in the armrest itself. Up front, the driver facing storage box and split level
glovebox hold all your essentials. And there are even can-cooling cupholders in the front that
keep your drinks cool when the air conditioning is on.
Panoramic sunroof
The X-TRAIL’s sunroof is much larger than conventional sunroofs, enabling you to get even
more pleasure from the great outdoors. The sunroof is standard on all models bar the SE.
Family Pack
Available on dCi SE models the Family Pack has a unique seat trim and transforms the back
seat area. Family friendly features include “relax” headrests so kids can sleep comfortably
and a toy box with power outlet. The large centre armrest with integrated table keeps the kids
separate and happy.
EXTERIOR
Stylish Wheels and Privacy Glass
17” alloy wheels and privacy glass are now standard on Columbia and Aventura grades, with
16” alloys on SE. The alloy wheels give X-TRAIL a sporty look, while privacy glass protects
you from unwanted attention and also blocks out more of the suns potentially harmful UV
rays.

ENGINE
Diesel engine with 136PS
The X-TRAIL’s 2.2 dCi turbo engine has the latest common rail injection and M fire
combustion system, and delivers 100kW (136 PS) of power. As well as impressive fuel
economy and low CO2 emissions, it also produces 304 Nm of torque at 2000 revs.
HANDLING
4 independent suspensions
The X-TRAIL’s suspension easily tackles tough terrain, and it’s smooth you’re back on
tarmac. With four independent suspensions, each wheel responds to bumps without
transferring the shock to the other wheels – making for a truly comfortable ride.
Dynamic cornering
The X-TRAIL is a 4x4 that corners like a sports car. Thanks to its independent suspension
and excellent body control, the X-TRAIL handles with assurance.

PASSIVE SAFETY
ISOFIX child seat brackets
The X-TRAIL includes brackets which make it easy to attach ISOFIX child safety seats.
Quick and secure installation ensures total peace of mind.
Airbags

All models have driver and passenger plus front side airbags, for confident driver and
passenger protection.

Active headrests
To minimise the risk of whiplash, X-TRAIL head restraints move forward then return to their
normal position in the event of a collision.
ACTIVE SAFETY
Powerful brakes
The X-TRAIL has three braking systems to help you stop safely. Electronic Brake Force
Distribution (EBD), automatically regulates the pressure between the front and rear brakes,
giving all wheels optimum braking – even when towing or carrying heavy loads. In
emergency braking, Brake Assist increases the force applied to the brakes. And ABS
prevents the wheels from locking, making it easier to steer around obstacles.
