1. Research about COVID-19 and explain your answers with examples that are
appropriate for the question.

a) How does COVID-19 spread?

- COVID-19 is primarily spread through respiratory droplets, which means to become

infected, people generally must be within six feet of someone who is contagious and
come into contact with these droplets. It may be possible that a person can get
COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching
their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main
way the virus spreads. Symptoms of COVID-19 appear within two to 14 days after
exposure and include fever, cough, runny nose and difficulty breathing.

EXAMPLES:

• When you’re in a mall and someone with this disease and sneezes within 6 feet and
come in contact to you, then you might have the disease.
• When you touch a doorknob that have been also touched by a person who has
COVID-19 then you may also have the disease

b) How can someone asymptomatic spread it?

- When someone thinks that its just a normal cough and no other symptoms try to
interact with people or touched any objects then they can spread the disease to
many others. As the WHO said cough is the early stages of COVID-19

EXAMPLE:

- When a person with COVID-19 that he thinks its only a cough goes to a meeting
every time he coughs he spreads the virus every time he touches and object then
a persons touching it then he also spread the virus.

c) How easily does it spread?

- COVID-19 can be easily spread through person-to-person contact within 6 meters
and when an object is touched by an infected person.

d) What sources are appropriate in seeking information about diseases?

- Through articles and information that has been posted bye the World Health
Organisation.

e) What roles should you be playing during these times?

- As a student nurse I should help others by teaching them preventive measures

and proper aseptic technique and also ask them that they should not panic as our
fellow health care providers and researchers are doing their best to eliminate the
virus .

2. How can you as a healthcare provider educate your patients (especially the
ones who are panicking) about it, give examples.

- As a healthcare provider I will ask my clients to calm and pray for the people who
is infected and for the virus to be eliminated also enlighten them about the virus
that it can’t spread when you do the proper aseptic techniques and other
preventive measures and if the client has the disease I will comfort them and ask
them that if she/he will cooperate then we will do our best to eliminate the virus
in the persons body.
