    SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MAPEH 8 (PHYSICAL EDUCATION)

    I. Objectives

    At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:

    a. restate the history and basic skills of basketball;

    b. differentiate the basic skills and timeline of basketball; and

    c. execute the basic skills of basketball through a drill

    II. Subject Matter

    Topic: Team Sports

    Lesson: Basketball

    Reference: Physical Education and Health 8 Learner’s Module, page 54-59

    Materials: pictures, laptop, basketball ball

    III. Procedure

    A. Preliminary Activities:

    - Greetings

    B. Motivation:

    - Game: “Pass the ball”

    - Let the learners pass the ball. As the music stops, the learner will pick as strip and
    answer the question.

    C. Presentation of the lesson:

    - Basketball is a team sport, wherein the objective is to shoot a ball through a basket
    horizontally positioned to score points while following a set of rules. It is one of the
    world’s most popular and widely viewed sports.

    IV. Lesson Proper

    - KWL chart

    - History of basketball

    - Basic skills in basketball

    V. Evaluation

    4 groups: “Pick, Act and Answer”


    - Let each group answer on the board and execute what is written in the strip.
