ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

OBJECTIVE:
The assignment provides opportunities for you to understand various domains that must
be considered in developing curriculum for the future and to develop a course module
for a program of study.

INSTRUCTIONS:
You are required to complete both TWO parts of the assignment.

PART A
The industrial revolution that is taking place all over the world requires a change
in the way content areas in the curriculum are delivered. Educationists are proposing
changes in the way curriculum is delivered to ensure optimal learning among students.

Review 2 -3 journal articles or chapters of a book on some of the latest changes


that can be incorporated in curriculum development. Based on your reading, write a
summary comprising the following among other aspects:
 Describe 2-3 latest changes or development that can be included in
curriculum development
 Discussion of its impact on teaching and learning
 Feasibility of the latest changes in relation to its implementation in
educational institutions.

PART B

The purpose of this section of the assignment is to enable you to practise


developing course outcomes, content, suggested learning activities and measurement of
course outcomes for a course of study at your own institution. The course that you are
developing should be aimed at enhancing 21st century skills.
