As decided by the Competent Authority, the Budgetary/measurable Role assigned to employees during
2016-17 and effective as on 31/03/2017 will stand Auto-extended in the System effective from 01/04/2017
if the employee continues to be in the same position.
Pre-determined KRAs with default weightage tagged to these Roles will be auto saved and
visible to the Employee and Reviewing Authority with ‘Read Only’ access.
If the Employee has anything to represent against the auto-extended Role, he/she will contact his/her
Reporting Authority off-line (through normal mode of communication i.e. personally, through mail or
phone) immediately before the Reporting Authority finalizes the Role/KRAS/Weightage of the Role
Auto-extended in the system.
Once the Role is finalized by Reporting Authority, no change in this regard would be possible.
However, if RepAs feel that that the Role so carried over is not suitable for the employee for the
current financial year, role can be changed. As a solution of this, functionality for Deleting and option
to RepA to assign a fresh role has been provided with.
Functionality for Assigning a fresh role (from 1 st April, 2017 or intermediate Roles) have also been
developed and rolled out simultaniously.
For any Technical Issues (regarding wrong Reporting/Reviewing authority for any employee or wrong
employees appearing under any Reporting/Reviewing Authority), respective Circle/OAD HRMS teams
may be contacted.
For any other data related issue or non-appearing of Correct Role/KRAs, HR Department may be
contacted through respective AGM-CDS at the Circle.
Career Development System, introduced w.e.f. 01/04/2015 is undergoing a revamp and now ready with new
look and feel. The CDS Service is available across all devices ie. Mobile, IPAD, TAB ,Laptop/Desktop. Both
employees as well as Reporting Authorities (RepAs) have common access point under Employee Benefits and
Tasks in CDS (New);
The new CDS can be accessed through HRMS portal using your existing log in credentials.
To view the details of roles and performance, employees should click on “My Roles & My
Performance” tile.
After clicking on “My Roles & My Performance” tile, employees get the below screen
with Your roles as default page;
Employee should use drop down option for the selection of desired financial year;
If role is Budgtary/ Measurable, Employee can view his/her performance across all the
month of financial year and position in respective cohort based on last available month`s
score (normalized). Further employee can also know his/her weakness and strength by
viewing the top monthly KRA under Pie Chart (3 Highest & Lowest scored KRAs). In case of
Non-measurable roles, the performance Card will not be displayed as per the bank`s policy.
To know the list of KRAs, employee should use “View details” drop down option as
below;
To know the performance of each roles assigned during the financial year, employee
has to select Your Performance tab as shown under;
After selection the financial year, employee gets the below screen with further drop down
option to select Role of which employee wishes to view performance. On this screen,
performance of employee for the role agaianst each assigned KRA in terms of its weightage is
In the graphical Performance Card, performance across the period of Role as well as position
of employee`s performance with peer group or among the employees of his/her cohort is
shown in Bar Chart.
Red Down Arrow on the above screen is indicating downward score trend in
comparision to previous month and Green Up Arrow is indicating upward score trend
in comparision to previous month.
To access the below functionalities, employee has to click on My Team Tile as under;
After clicking on My Team tile, user gets the list of Team Members reporting to
him as below;
After clicking on name of employee, RepA can view the detail of employee as under;
User can view the count of pending actions on My Team Page itself as below;
Role status
Role Auto Saved / Pending with RepA : System has carried over the employee’s role from
last year and it is pending with RepA to finalize the weightages /KRAs.
Role Saved : Role is saved by RepA and will be auto submitted / crystallised after the expiry
of stipulated period
Role Assigned : Role has been assigned by RepA. This is subsequent action for roles saved.
Role Auto Assigned : Role has been auto assigned due to expiry of stipulated period fixed
by competent authority. This is subsequent action for roles auto saved, carried over and
finalsied by REPA
Against the tiles of each reportee (team members), the expected action is available on
right side of the screen. To assign role to his/her reportee, employee (RepA) click on
Assign Role Button
After the selection of type of Role, employee gets the list of roles as per selection and
a button “ CHOOSE ROLE” on the right side of each role to make the selection of
particular Role as under;
Submit button activates only when the total weightage is correct as per bank`s policy.
In case of weightage mismatch, error is displayed as under;
As advised through e-mail regarding setting of Role, in case of any change required in
Role or KRAs or weightage of any KRA, reportee can contact his/her Reporting
Authority off line within the stipulated timeline.
As advised vide e-mail to employee, employee may contact RepA off line for the change of
Role/ KRAs/wighatges of KRA and if RepA agrees with the demand of change of Role/
KRAs/wighatges of KRA, he/she should use “ DELETE ROLE” button as shown below;
After clicking on “DELETE ROLE” user gets a confirmation message wherein he/she
confirm as per choice as under;
The status of reportee for that period will be changed to “ To be assigned “ as under
and user can reassign fresh Role/KRAs as advised in Para 3.2
3.5 Functionality for CONFIRM ROLE (for Auto Carried Over Role)
The reportees for whom roles have been carried over , employee (RepA) gets two
option either to confirm the Role or delete the carried over role. The button “
CONFIRM ROLE” and “DELETE ROLE” will appear on the right side of those reportees
as under;
If user clicks on CONFIRM ROLE button, he/she gets the below screen displaying the
carry forwarded Role along with CONFIRM ROLE button for reconfirmation to
continue ;
After clicking on View button user will get the detail of assigned KRAs along with weightage
as below;
Employee will be able to view his assigned role under “My Role” tab. Employee will
also receive e-mail intimation regarding Carried over role from last year or assigned
role with complete description as well as its period. If “No data found” error is shown
then it means no role has been assigned to the employee. Employee to take up the
matter with his/her reporting authority for assignment of role.
If user(RepA) wants to sort & view the list of employes for whom Role assignment or
Confirmation in case of carried over is pending, he/she should click on
ASSIGN/CONFIRM ROLE button as under;
After clicking on ASSIGN/CONFIRM ROLE, user gets the list of employees whose role
assignment is pending as under
User (RepA) can see list of employees reporting to him/her and whose role assignment is
pending . Pending list will be displayed in ascending order of PF Number of employees by
default. Option to search / filter has been provided. User (RepA) can either search by Name
of employee or PF Number as shown in below screens;
Note: By default the One star will be get displayed while assigning Discretionary score
in RepA screen which indicate that by default 1 score is given to Prnr by RepA.
After assigning Discretionary Score and Remarks RepA has to click on Next Button

On Clicking on Next button Screen will display a Confirmation message for assigning
Discretionary Scores.
Then RepA has to click on Continue Button.
Once the RepA click on Continue button system goes to 3 rd Screen i.e. Assigning
Competency of Prnr.
After adding Competencies for Prnr RepA has to click on Next button.
On clicking on Next Button system will display the 4 th Screen which is the Summary
screen.
In Summary Screen RepA can view the summary of scores given by him to Prnr and
click on Submit button Close the Role.
After Clicking on submit button screen will display confirmation message for Role
Closure.
Same message for Competency Scores and Remarks will be displayed if Competency
scores/ Remarks are not assigned
RepA can give Prnr No. In Search box only for whom Repa wants to close the
Role and continue the Role Closure Process.
NOTE :- RepA can give 30 out of 30 full Discretionary Marks to 40% of Prnrs having Role
End Date 31.03.2018 under him / her
Ex: If a RepA has 10 Prnrs under him whole Role End Date are 31.03.2018, then only to 4
Prnrs RepA can give 30 out of 30

After getting the list of RepAs , RevA can check the box of particular RepA and have
to click on GO button to see the list of Prnrs under RepA .
Then System will display the list of Prnrs with Close Role button

RevA can get the list of Prnrs by clicking on Role Type and Go Button
RevA can enter User ID in search box to know the status of the Prnr
RevaA can close Role by manually by giving Scores. For this RevA has to
select Prnr and click on Close Role Button
On Clicking on Close Role button System will display Review Role Closure screen.
After giving Scores RevA has to click on “Approve and Close “ button. Once Reva
clicks on the button a confirmation message is dispalyed on the screen
RevA can do Role Close in Bulk. In this case all the scores of RepA will get copied
to RevA scores
On selecting Approve all Selected button system will dispaly confiramtion message as RevA
scores will be same as RepA scores, on clicking yes Role will be closed successfully
If the quota is completed and RevA wants to give 30 out 30 to other Prnr then
RevA has to first decrease the Discretionary score given by RepA they has to
increase
Ex: RepA has given Discretionary Score to Prnr1 30 out of 30 and Prnr2 28 out of 30 and
the 40% quota is completed,but RevA wants to give Prnr2 30 out of 30 so in this case
Note : If RepA has not completed 40% quota of Discretionary score abut RevA has completed
the quota then RepA will not be able to avail his 40% quota further.For details, RevA
can visit Dash Board.

RevA has Dashboard functionality where RevA can view the Role Status , Scores,
Prnrs Id and Grading
