Intelligent Key
The key feature of the intelligent key will enable convenient unlocking of
the car and starting the engine without removing the door lock key.
You can also use the remote entry features.
Caution
!
Please be sure to carry the intelligent key
・It is not possible to unlock the doors and start the engine without it.
Please keep it.
Advice
Be aware that
・The intelligent key system is very usefull, depending on your environment
and conditions it may not work correctly which may lead to trouble.
Always read the information provided below, please use it properly.
・The key uses a weak radio wave
Because of the environment there may be times when the intelligent key does
not function normally please use the mechanical key.
*Near tv towers and power plant generating facility there is a strong signal
*When using mobile phone or other wireless communication equipment
*When intelligent key touches anything metallic
*Being near other radio wave remote control entry
*When placing the key near electrical appliances such as computers
*When using a pay parking station (they use radio waves for detecting vehicles)
*When in the vicinity of a radio intrusion alarm
・The intelligent key with constant communication with the vehicle will always
drain the battery. Battery life is about 2 years depending on usage. If the
batteries are dead please fit new batteries.
*Please read page 35 for how to replace the battery
・The intelligent key is always recieving radio signals, if it continues to recieve
strong radio signals it will significantly drain the battery. Please place away
from appliances such as televisions and personal computers.
Because the ignition switch is locked using electrical control, when the battery
goes flat in the LOCK position, it will not cancel the steering wheel lock.
Also unable to turn the ignition knob (also the mechanical key)
Please pay attention to the battery.
・When the battery has gone flat please be sure to charge the battery immediately

work.
・The working area around the lock is 80cm in a spherical shape, Ther are times near
the ground or up high within the 80cm where the range may not work.
When the batteries of the intelligent key are low and there is a strong radio signal
or noise, the key may not operate.
