The name Animal Farm has been restored to its original name, Manor Farm as it
seemed fit. In addition, the pigs are not considered pigs anymore but as humans who have
human-like qualities. The pigs act humanely not as animals would. Instead of oinking, they
speak and wear clothes, sleep in beds, and drink beer. Old Major’s expectation of not acting like
humans has now been diminished. The pigs have completely taken over the farm and treated the
animals inferiorly. All the original commandments that were established and that were expected
to be kept and obeyed have now been changed and are now used to the benefit of the pigs. All
the animals still obey Napoleon, Squealer and the rest of the pigs and do not question their rules
and commands. While the animals aimlessly follow the pigs’ commands, underneath all their
stupidity and easy persuasion they have a hunch something was not right.
Napoleon and Squealer are still in power and the social hierarchy and the commandments
are still intact. They still rule the same way; by using the animals’ stupidity to their advantage
and making rules to benefit themselves. The pigs think Manor Farm is perfect when in reality it
is broken. Old Major’s fear of a corrupt society has become a reality. The animals have no say
and no control of what goes on and personally give all their freedom to Napoleon and Squealer.
The animals decide they need a new guide and leader. In the beginning, the animals took a liking
to Napoleon and Squealer, but now they see through their words and understand what they truly

mean. While they want to speak up, they are too scared to do anything about it. After all that has
happened with Napoleon and Squealer, they are starting to realize that Old Major was right;
corruptions and absolute power are the ultimate destruction and downfall of a society, no matter
what it is. The animals want to build a society that is better than before and want to make it more
equal and have better commandments that will forever be put in stone and not be changed to
The next few days Napoleon had been working the animals to the bone. He would order
them to work everyday with no breaks. Eventually, the animals grew tired of being bossed
around by a pig who was once their friend who has now turned into their enemy. The animals
decided it was time to formulate a plan. For the next couple weeks, twice a week, the animals
would meet in secret to discuss and perfect their plan to revolt. Napoleon became merciless as
the days and weeks go by. The animals put up with it because they know eventually he will be
out of power.
The next week, Napoleon gathered the animals together to order them around and
evaluate them on their work. The animals hated when Napoleon treated his fellow animals this
way, by ordering them around like objects that have only one use. The animals saw this as an
opportunity to take out Napoleon and Squealer at one time. They convince Napoleon and
Squealer to go out and show them the windmill. Little do they know, they were going to be
driven out by their “subjects”. Once Napoleon and Squealer reach the windmill the animals are
waiting. While they are looking at the windmill, the animals jump and chase them to the
entrance. While this plan was good, the animals thought it was better to rid themselves of the
Zavala 3
problem once and for all. As Napoleon and Squealer were being chased by the puppies, which
have now grown into dogs and have also had enough of being bossed around by unpleasant,
disgraceful sorry excuse of animals, the rest of the animals follow behind. The dogs ran faster to
catch up to the pigs and knocked them down on the ground. Squealer and Napoleon were
wounded and the dogs surrounded them, the two pigs could not stand up.
The dogs made a circle around the pigs, making sure that there was no space for them to
escape. The dogs looked at Napoleon and Squealer with such hate and anger for all the things
they did to them including taking them away from their mother to become their personal guards,
to protect them at all costs. The rest of the animals crowded around the circle. Slowly and
menacingly, the dogs went in for the kill. Now Napoleon and Squealer were shaking in fear,
which was an extremely rare occasion for the rest of the animals to see. As the last hour was
approaching for Napoleon and Squealer, they feared dying and the unknown afterwards.
However, they do not have any regrets. You could say they died for what they believed in. The
dogs stood on top of Napoleon and Squealer and snapped their necks.
An eerie silence gracefully danced though the presence of the circle and the animals.
They finally realized what had just been done, they had broken one of Old Major’s rules, to
never kill an animal. In spite of this tragedy, the animals convinced themselves and each other
that the killing was for a good cause. All the animals that had once been under an evil rule and
was now extinguished. The animals walked back to Animal Farm and went on with the day as
normal.

The word spread about the animals’ accomplishment. For now, the animals are living
peacefully. The animals talk together and live in peace and harmony. Old Major’s
commandments are back in place and there are still meetings to discuss any new matters that
occur. At at the end of the meeting, they all join together and proudly sing Beasts of England.
Nobody rules over them, instead they work in a democracy and negotiate. Everyone is happy
and while there are some disagreements and arguments, the animals all work collaboratively
For now, all the animals are getting along with each other and things are working out ok.
However, as Manor Farm still remained unruled by humans, the story will always be told for
generations of how Manor Farm was changed to Animal Farm and then back again to Manor
Farm. Many generations later, the farm is still being passed down and is still being enjoyed by
animals of new generations. The windmill is still up and running and animals over time made
adjustments to improve the structure and function of the windmill. The animals still have
meetings as well as a democracy and negotiable way of running the farm. At the conclusion of
Many years later, the animals still tell the tale of the first generation of animals that lived
on animal farm, Old Major establishing the farm, the Revolution, the legendary pigs Napoleon
and Squealer who ruled and took advantage, the animals fight back and impeach the high
position. This story is told as oral history of Animal Farm for generations. As the story is being
passed down some minor details change but the main message remains the same; corruption and

absolute power are the ultimate destruction and downfall of a society. No matter who tries it, it is
impossible to master the perfect ideal society. There will always be power, greed, selfishness and
desire that will lead to downfall and destruction. It does not matter if it is animals or humans. No
