Shop Drawing Review

General Items:
Verify shop drawing company name, drafter, logo and date are shown on the shop drawing title page.
Verify that the project material is noted to be fabricated or stock length on the shop drawings.
Verify that all critical dimensions (Reference, Frame Dimension and Day Light Openings ) are defined and add up.
Verify that all quoted items supplied by EFCO are clearly defined and located at elevations. (i.e. Brake metal, Steel
Anchors and miscellaneous items) Items not included on the quote will be at an additional cost to the project.
Verify that egress information has been indicated.
Verify that any Impact / DOD / Blast requirements are clearly defined on the shop drawings.
Verify that all quoted steel reinforcement / mullion splice / expansion joints have been detailed and located at
elevations.
Finish:
Verify finish shown on shop drawings clearly indicates the type and color that was quoted.
Verify that any multiple finishes are properly coordinated and identified at the elevations.
Glass / Glazing:
Verify that glazing schedule indicates glass makeup that was quoted.
Verify if glazing schedule indicates that glass is supplied by EFCO or is supplied by others.
Verify that glazing types are defined on elevations.
Verify that EFCO supplied safety glazing in doors and appropriate sidelites have been identified.
Panels – Verify that all panel’s supplied by EFCO indicate make up and finish.
Blinds – Verify that size and color has been noted.
Series:
Verify that the shop drawings clearly show product series and size at all elevations.
Miscellaneous:
Verify that any quoted new dies are detailed.
Screens – Verify that mesh type and color has been noted.
Verify that the window series indicated does not exceed the quoted sizes.
Round Top Elevations:
Verify that frame radius and radius spring line has been properly identified.
Storefront Check List
Swing Doors / Hardware:
Verify that approved door hardware schedule(s) has been attached.
Verify that the hardware schedules identify the following: Who is the Supplier / Who is Prepping / Who is Installing
Verify that the manufacture and part number for the hardware has been identified.
Verify that the hardware finish has been clearly identified.
Verify that special hardware locations have been indicated.
Verify if the manufacturer’s standard hardware locations are noted to be used.
Verify that the bottom door clearance has been defined at doors without thresholds.
Verify that the active leafs have been defined.
Verify that all door swings have been shown.
Verify that all mid rail (if quoted) location has been dimensioned.
Verify that transoms with snap-in glazing pockets do not exceed EFCO quoted sizes.
Verify if continuous hinges (other than EFCO standard) are used, that 5/8” door stops are detailed at hinge jamb.
Verify that the degree of the closers have been indicated.
Verify that the closer hold open requirements have been noted.
Verify that the overhead holders / stops indicate the degree they are to be prepped.
Verify that the doors shown on the shop drawings indicate the required glazing thickness.
Window Check List
Window Hardware:
Verify that all quoted locking and operating hardware has been defined.
Verify that quoted limit opening device has been specified and the limited opening dimension has been provided.
Verify the quantity and length has been indicated for all pole hardware.
Verify that the interior panel hardware has been defined.
