Objective:
We at Keventers (SMPPL) believe that each of our employees are our brand ambassadors and
they know the company and its culture better than most others. That’s why we’re always on the
lookout for talented professionals like our employees, to come and join us.
Believing in the culture of co-creation we are introducing the Employee Referral Program (ERP)
which will help SMPPL get the best talent who are already evaluated and vouched for and are the
right fit for that role and our work culture by the employee who refers them. The employee hence
plays a crucial role in building and strengthening the organization.
So, if you have a friend or ex-colleague who you think would fit right in with our new culture and
values here’s how you can make that happen.

Eligibility:
All SMPPL employees except HR employees are eligible to participate in this policy.

Exclusions:
• You cannot refer an existing employee of SMPPL under this scheme.
• You cannot refer yourself under this scheme. If you wish to apply for a vacancy please
follow the standard internal application process
• You will not be entitled for referral bonus under this program, if you are referring a
candidate, who will be your direct reportee and for whom you will be the direct reporting
manager.
• You cannot refer a candidate for a vacancy where you are the hiring manager, or where
you have any involvement in the recruitment or interview and selection process.
• You will not receive a referral bonus for the referral of any candidates joining on a fixed
term contract of less than 6 months or non-employees, e.g. self-employed contractors /
candidates working through a 3rd party supplier on a temporary basis or employed and
paid on a daily or hourly rate on a temporary basis.
• Re-joining will not be covered under referral policy.

Process:
1. Employees should refer the candidate for corporate and regional support team to the
human resource department by sharing his/her cv at [email protected] with the
subject as Employee Referral. For All outlet profiles must be shared with their respective
Regional HR.
2. The HR department will screen the resume and if it meets the job specification, it will be
shortlisted for the next round of interviews.
3. If the candidate is selected, the HR department will share an acknowledgement with the
referrer via email.
4. If the referred candidate (Except Team members) is selected and completes three months
of service the referrer will become eligible for payment. For team members the duration
will be 45 days.
5. The HR department will have to verify that both the candidate and the referrer are still
employed by SMPPL and not under notice of termination of employment (whether given
or received) on the due payment date.
6. Once confirmed the RHR/TA team will compile the data and forward the same to the
Payroll for processing by 25th of the month. Payment will be made as part of the referrer’s
regular monthly salary.
Key principles
• SMPPL will conduct interviews with only those referred candidates who meet our
required needs, and will extend employment offers only to those candidates who, in our
opinion, are the most qualified, regardless of how the candidate came to our attention. If
an employee wish, he/she can discuss the requirements of specific vacancies and the
suitability of potential candidates with the recruiter prior to submission.
• Where a candidate is not initially hired for the specific vacancy they were referred for,
but a recruiter or hiring manager then considers them for another vacancy as a result of
your referral, you will be eligible for any referral bonus offered for the other vacancy.

• There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make, and you will be awarded a
referral bonus for each valid, successful referral.
• Referrals of the same candidate by multiple employees will result in a bonus payment
only to the first referral correctly registered through the employee referral program.
• If you are considering referring someone from your previous employer, please be aware
you may be under a restrictive covenant to approach staff directly. If you suspect this,
please consult your previous employment contract.
• Any false claim will result into disciplinary action which includes termination
• Outlet walk-ins should not be referred under this policy.
