I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
a. Draw the different artifacts of the one of the provinces from northern Luzon,
b. distinguishing the characteristics of arts and crafts of Ilocos Region and
Cordillera Autonomous Region (Car),
c. Appreciate the culture, arts and crafts of Ilocos Region and Cordillera
Autonomous Region (Car).
III. Procedure
A. Lesson Proper
1. Classroom management
- let the students arrange their chairs and pick up pieces of papers
- ask one of the students to lead the prayer
- let the students sit down and check the attendance.
2. Motivation
- Let the students sing the Tubungan National High school Hymn
3. Presentation:
A. Discuss to the students the following:
Folk Arts and Design of Ilocos Region and Cordillera Autononous Region
(Car)
4. Application
Let the students draw arts and crafts from North Luzon.
IV. Evaluation
1. A special fabric made from cotton which undergo a painstaking
binatbatan. Answer: Iloco or Inabel Fabric
2. A natural dye made from the sap of black plum used in Inabel fabric.
Answer: Sagut
3. Known as the salt capital of the region during the pre-Hispanic times.
Answer: Pangasinan
