COURSE SYLLABUS
GRADE 7 SCIENCE
Course description
In accordance to K to 12 curriculum science for grade 7 aims to prepare students as a globally competitive
individual that corresponds to the needs of this fast phasing world. Each student is encouraged to utilize scientific
knowledge, science skills, values and attitudes to scientifically resolve or respond to the changes. And to improve the
quality of life.

General objectives
 Identify the different scientific attitudes, methods and values.
 Use the different laboratory materials properly.
 Distinguish mixtures from substances through semi-guided investigation.
 Realize the importance of air testing when conducting investigations.
 Recognize that living things are organized into different levels: cell, tissues, organ system, and organisms. These
organisms comprise population and communities, which interact with non-living things in ecosystems.
 Describe the motion of object in terms of distance and speed, and represent this in tables, graphs, charts, and
equations.
 Describe how various forms of energy travel through different mediums.
 Describe Philippines as a whole and the resources found in the archipelago.
 Explain the occurrence of breezes, monsoons, and ITCZ, and how these weather system affect the people.
 Explain why the season change and demonstrate how eclipse occur
