Me: do you think that school’s ideology is affecting the sexual education that the
students should have?
Eleventh student: yes, because in the case of the school, they don’t teach what is
necessary for the sexual orientation, they only teach us about pregnancy and sexual
abuse.
Me: do you know how to use a condom? How did you learn it?
Eleventh student: yes, I learned it as a part of my sexual education and as well with
my friends.
Me: Do you practice any religion?
Eleventh student: yes, I practice a religion, I am catholic.
Me: Do you know how to identify a sexual transmission illness?
Eleventh student: No, I don’t know how to identify a sexual transmission illness and
I think that is something that the school should teach us.
Me: If you have questions about sexual education, who do you ask?
Eleventh student: I usually ask family, friends and teacher of sexual education.
Me: Do you think that your religion prevents you from talking about sexuality?
Eleventh grade: No, my religion doesn’t prevent me from talking about sexuality but
they treat homosexuality as a particular fact.

Me: do you think that school’s ideology is affecting the sexual education that the
students should have?
Eleventh student: I think the sexual education is very important for the schools
because they don’t want pregnant girls or sick people, I think that all the schools
have the tipycal sexual education class but in catholic schools they don’t like so
much to talk about this topic because for them this is a sin.
Me: do you know how to use a condom? How did you learn it?
Eleventh student: yes, that’s very umcomfortable, my mother taught me how to do
it, she showed me videos about sexual education because she says that is important
to learn all that kind of things.
Me: Do you practice any religion?
Eleventh student: yes, I am catholic but is something strange in my life because I
don’t trust in the church
Me: Do you know how to identify a sexual transmission illness?
Eleventh student: No, I think that one of the topics that my mother has not taught
me are the illnesses about it but I only know the name of the illnesses.
Me: If you have questions about sexual education, who do you ask?
Eleventh student: I guess that I would ask my mom because she has always talked
to me about the topic, and she is my confident in that topic and the only one who I
trust in this topic.
Me: Do you think that your religion prevents you from talking about sexuality?
Eleventh student: In theory yes, because the catholic religion is so traditional in
their things, but I can talk with whoever you want, it doesn’t stop me to do something.
