How to make a pie chart in Excel

1. Once your data is formatted, making a pie chart only takes a couple clicks. First, highlight the
data you want in the chart:
2. Then click to the Insert tab on the Ribbon. In the Charts group, click Insert Pie or
Doughnut Chart:
3. In the resulting menu, click 2D Pie:
4. Once you've clicked that, your pie chart will appear!

How to make a bar graph in word


1. Open the Microsoft Word program. You can also double-click an existing Word document to

4. Click Chart.
5. Click a chart layout.
6. Click on a chart style.
7. Click OK.

Creating a Stem and leaf plot in Excel


1. Open the Stem and Leaf Plot Template by clicking on QI Macros menu / Chart

2. Input or cut and paste your data into the yellow input area.
3. Double click on the update plot button and QI Macros will sort the data and populate
the stems and leaves.

Histograms in Excel
1. Click the Insert tab.
2. And then click the Add a Chart icon from the ribbon's Illustrations group.
3. Select Columns and then click the Stacked Column icon.
4. Click OK.
5. Fill out all the necessary data
6. And that’s a Histogram

Histogram presents numerical data whereas bar graph shows categorical data.

Time series plot n Excel


1. To create a time series plot in Excel, first select the time (Date and Time in this case) Column.
2. Then the data series (stream flow in this case) column.
3. Next, click on the Insert ribbon, and then select Scatter.
4. From scatter plot options, select Scatter with Smooth Lines as shown.
5. The legend, title and axes of this plot can then be reformatted to make the time series plot look a little
more legible and professional.
