Procedure
Language Focus
Begin by eliciting language for making and declining invitations
Making and declining
from the class and write it on the board:

To practice making and
declining invitations. Next, review the language by inviting students to do things using
the phrases on the board and have them decline your invitations
and give reasons.
Preparation
Make one copy of the Next, divide the students into groups of three or four.

If the student does this successfully, the other student gives them
the card.
The students are not allowed to use the same reason twice during
the game.
Students continue to play until all the cards have been used.
The student with the most cards at the end of the game wins.
