My reflection on the seminar for the nstp or the national training program regarding
on human rights and peace education, it is very must have especially for us young
students or people of the Philippines, cause lots of us, we even don’t know what
Human rights we actually forgetting about it, we don’t know our rights even then,
so this seminar can be a huge effect most of us on the seminar are thinking that why do
we have like that, this is because of the justice, the rule , a freedom to be follow. It is our
respect, or symbolize equality, just like on lgbt community we need to respect them in
order to be respected too, but somehow our community believe it or not even for a young
student, us we see disrespectful words that can be heard judging them the way they look
and act. But then again because of the toxic mentality of pinoy are the crab mentality that
some of us have, we can’t blame them, that’s why seminar like this, those advocates in
order to know our rights and stand out by peace. It really be a helpful not just us but the
people of Philippines.
Next is the peace education why do we need it, it is very important same as the
human rights it’s how we respect each other our values, manners that we show unto
people. Peace education for my own perspective really could help especially to those
people or students facing lots of conflict and even can’t resolve it by themselves, there’s
a word that hits me on the seminar the song kapayapaan right or the peace. We can’t
achieve it if most of us have their own thoughts, when we can’t understand one another
that is why peace education is focusing too on building skills and attitude. To help in the
future days.
My take away is that I can share it too on my younger brother and to my family and
even for the children that I will be encountered. I hope more seminar will come and I hope
every seminar there would be lesson or values that can be used or even apply on future.
