2. Why are certain products made in the Philippines while others are produced abroad?
(10 points).
There are variations of products in the market. It is mixed with local and international
brands. Certain products are made in the Philippines due to its part that is dominant in the
country. Products that are made abroad are imported products that have various prices
depending on their quality and purpose. These products are labeled from the country where
it was made for the assurance of ownership and several purposes such as for the economy,
or spreading culture. Certain articles are promoting “Made in the world” as labeled to the
products rather than (Made in China or USA etc.), this is to establish world trade and raise
people from poverty. However, the demand for the local products is low, for the reasons
that consumers prefer to buy products that are in good condition but at a lower price which
is available in foreign brands. Thus, the competition between brands is tight, and after all,
it is business and companies that have better strategies got higher revenue.
