• Use a portable safety light for working inside or
under the machine.
• Make sure that the bulb is enclosed by a wire
cage.
The hot filament of an accidentally broken bulb
can ignite spilled fuel or oil.
• Sufficiently illuminate the work site. Use a
maintence work light when working under or
inside the machine.
• Always use a work light protected with a guard. In SA-037

Check Emergency Engine Stop Switch:
• If a fire breaks out, failure to release pressurized air
inside the hydraulic tank will escalate fire, hampering
fire fighting.
• Check the emergency engine stop switch function
every 250 hours:
1) Start the engine and run it at slow Idle.
2) Turn the emergency engine stop switch to the
EMERG. STOP position.
3) Confirm that both engines stop and that pres-
surized air inside the hydraulic oil tank is re-
leased (a hissing sound should be heard).
• If any abnormalities are found, be sure to repair
them before operating the machine.

exactly what the risks are and how to do the job
safely. Then follow procedures and use
recommended equipment.
