Activity Students will perform activity 3- What’s the Message

Analysis Why is RNA important to the cell?

Answer: RNA carries information in the DNA to the ribosomes found in the
cytoplasm.

Abstraction The sequence of nucleotides in DNA directs the order of nucleotides in messenger
RNA in a process called transcription. There are three major types of RNA that help
build protein: mRNA (messenger RNA), ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and the transfer RNA
(tRNA).
Application How does mRNA molecule carry information from the DNA?

Assessment Checking of output. This will serve as the assessment.

Assignment Define transcription.
