COMMENTS:
Sieve Analysis is used to access the particle size distribution of any sample. This distribution is of critical
importance to the way material performs in use. It is helpful in determination of percentage
composition of gravels, sand & silt or clay. Also we come to know that for a specific sample, fine analysis
id required or not.
The sample on which we performed sieve analysis had 8.902 % Gravels, 83.46 % Sand and 7.63 % Silt &
Clay.The sample seems to consist of particles of all sizes. Also the values of coefficeint of Uniformity and
Curvature infers that the sample is Well Graded.
