A. Introductory ACTIVITY 1
Activity
Ask pupils to study the rhythmic patterns. What is its time
signature?
What musical symbols do you see on the rhythmic patterns?

B. Activity ACTIVITY 2

Group the pupils into 3. Use the rhythmic patterns use in the
introductory activity.
Give the time values of the notes and rests in creating rhythmic
patterns.
Read the notes and rests correctly.
Describe beat and how it is related to meter.

C. Analysis Ask pupils to complete the following rhythmic patterns based in


the given meter. Have them follow the correct number of beats
in every measure.

D. Abstraction Explain that we can give its rhythmic pattern by identifying its
time signature; the number of beats in every measure.
It is called duple meter if it has 2 beats in a measure.
Triple meter if it has 3 beats in a measure and quadruple meter
if it has 4 beats in a measure. Give the beats in every measure.
