behavior online using Facebook. Demonstrate and present it to the class through a
role play. Each group will be given a maximum of 2 minutes per presentation.
3. Discussion (Analysis)
The do's and don'ts of online communication is called "Netiquette" short term
of network etiquette. Simply stated, it’s network etiquette -- that is, the etiquette of
cyberspace. And "etiquette" means "the forms required by good breeding or
prescribed by authority to be required in social or official life." In other words,
Netiquette is a set of rules for behaving properly online.
Collaborative work: Given the materials, create a graphic organizer that shows the
importance of Netiquette in using social media sites. Each member of the group
should participate in presenting your output.
The rules of netiquette offer a great guideline for online communication. They
offer a new internet user an outline for what is professional and what is not. As a
student how are you going to apply the rules of Netiquette? Why is it important to
behave properly online?
