WEEKLY JOURNALS

This is where you think about your FMP learning journey and development.
Don’t simply describe what you did - consider what you have learnt and how this has benefitted
your project. What do you need to improve?

THIS IS JUST GUIDANCE THAT YOU NEED TO ADAPT TO YOUR OWN PROJECT. YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR
OWN PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS SHOULD REFELCT THAT.

THESE QUESTIONS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IN THE WEEKS YOU COMPLETED THEM. DO NOT JUST SUBMIT THIS
FORM FILLED IN FOR YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS. THERE SHOULD BE 11 WEEKLY BLOG ENTRIES (INCLUDING
EASTER).

Week Five - Planning

PLANNING

What did you learn from your planning I learnt that by creating a production schedule and sticking to
this week? it helped me a lot in filming and editing my production. I also
learnt that you have to write a lot about why you chose the
characters to play the specific roles and why you think they are
the best person to play the characters.

What issues did you encounter and The only issues I encountered was planning filming around
how did you overcome them? Olivia as she was the main character. As she was away on
holiday for a week and was also in Jermaine’s production I had
to arrange filming around the days she was here and able to
film with me, I tried to get most of my filming done before Olivia
had to go away. I was able to get most of my filming done so
whilst Olivia was away I was able to start editing with the
footage I had, when Olivia was back I only had to film a few
things with her to add to my production.

How did you ensure that your location I ensured my location recces were completed to a high
recces were completed to a high standard by adding as much information to the hazards,
standard? sound, lighting and power information, to state if there was an
issue with any of these things I would have a backup plan to
resolve the situations if they occurred.

How did you ensure that your props list For my props list, I stated what I needed and what they
and crew list were completed to a purpose of using the props were. For my crew list although I
high standard? only said their names and what dates they were needed to
film, I also created character profiles with images of my
characters and why I found them suitable to play their roles.

How have you ensured your I ensured that my production schedule included enough
production schedule includes enough information by saying when I was going to be filming and what
detail? I was going to be doing at home to ensure I stayed on track
with my filming and editing.

How well have you managed and After arranging what days, I was able to film with Olivia I asked
organised your cast and crew to be in the rest of my crew if they would be free to film on those days,
available when you need them? shooting in Henley also helped a lot as we didn’t have to meet
in a specific location.

Are you on track for the week? If not, Yes, I am on track for this week.
how far behind are you?

What work do you need to complete I need to get screenshots of confirmation emails from my actors
outside of lessons to stay on track? and ask a teacher to play a small role in my production.
