Priority Application Deadlines:

The Priority Application deadline is a recommended deadline for the LLM Programs. We encourage our
applicants to apply early. Applications will continue to be reviewed so long as there is space in the
program. The priority deadlines are as follows:

Spring Term (Jan Start) October 1


Fall Term (August Start) April 1
Summer Term (May Start)* April 1

The Admissions Committee reviews applications as they become complete (all necessary documents are
submitted).

All applicants for LLM Programs are reviewed for Merit based (not financial/ need based) scholarship on
the basis of their complete application. Applicants to certificate programs are not considered for
scholarship. No additional forms or statements are necessary for consideration. Scholarship awards may
require specific unit enrollment per term.

Instructions:

Applicants may use this form or may apply on www.LSAC.org.

If an applicant uses this form, then in addition to this application form, applicants must submit the
following documents directly to GGU:
• Personal Statement: The personal statement should provide a narrative description of your
reasons for seeking an LLM degree. The personal statement should be typed and may not
exceed 10 double-spaced, 8.5-11-inch (or A4) pages.
• A resume or C.V.
• Two (2) Letters of Recommendation. Required for the LLM Programs in US Legal Studies,
International Legal Studies, Intellectual Property, Environmental Law. Recommended for the
Taxation and Estate Planning Programs.

The following items must be sent to GGU directly from the appropriate institutions:
• Official transcripts from all academic institutions where you have studied law. (American
students do not need to send undergraduate transcripts.) A certified translation must be attached
if the transcript is not in English.
• Official TOEFL score report (if English is not your first language) must be sent directly from
ETS. Provide ETS with GGU’s Institution Code 4329 & Department Code 03.

____TOEFL waiver. Check here if you believe you qualify for waiver of the TOEFL requirement.
TOEFL is waived for students whose first language is English, who attended an educational
institution in which English was the primary language of instruction, or who worked in an English-
speaking environment for a year or more. Documentation may be requested. Please see
application below.
