Minimum configuration Process for NEC iPAS

nimum configuration Process for NEC iPASOLINK 400A

1. A end is BTS End having HIGH freq Band (HI ODU)


2. B end is Exchange End having LOW freq Band (LO ODU)
3. Equipment (IDU) Takes approx 10 Min for booting after power ON
4. Other end login is possible after alignment of antenna.
Click on 'Opposit end login' drop down arrow on first window (refer image at bottom of this sheet)
5. Polarisation will not be appeared in login window. It is purely physical parameter
6. During alignment process, Refresh button should be used to check power level
i.e. the power level change would not be reflected till refresh button is pressed
7. Preferably Use Chrome or Mozilla Browser
8. Use straight Ethernet cable (Cable used for connecting Broadband Modem to PC )

setup- new settings- (Enter NE Name e.g. Old city malkapur_B End)
next- Auto detect-OK-OK

setup- (Enter Bandwidth)- (Enter Modulation)- (Enter frequency)-next -Ok-Ok


Note- after entering frequency, if other End freq gets detected automatically, then connectorisation is OK

Mapping(New setting AMR range)-E1 Mapping (Enter No of E1 required e.g. 4)-OK-Next

MTPC Power Tx -Modem slot 01-(enter power value in positive e.g. 7 dBm) (Enter threshold in negative )

Add-(Enter service No e.g. 1)-(Enter Service Name e.g. E1)-


(select = Edge A - MC A4A) - (Select 4 E1 on left side using shift key)
(select= Edge B - MODEM) - (Select 4 E1 on right side using shift key)

Modify- Mark As USED to 4 E1

(Enable only port 4)

click on tab VLAN list -Add VLAN-(Enter VLAN ID e.g. 4015)-(Enter VLAN Name e.g. 3G)
click on tab VLAN Setting -MC port 04- Port Type (Select = Tunnel)-(Mark port Name)-Ok -Ok
click on tab VLAN Setting -MODEM port 01-(Mark port Name)-Ok -Ok
Measure/ observe values Rx power level (Should Be -34dBm Idealy)/ BER (should be 0.0E-10)
