I. INTRODUCTION

Cancer is a disease caused by uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in a part of

the body. Some cancers may eventually spread into other tissues. There are more than

200 different types of cancer. Cancer cells do not die at natural point in a cell's life cycle.

Some types of cancer cause rapid cell growth, while others cause cell to grow and divide

at a slower rate.

Cancer cells are cells that divide relentlessly, forming solid tumours or flooding

the blood with abnormal cells. Cell division is a normal process used by the body for

growth and repair. Your body is made up of 100 million cells. Cancer can start when just

one of them begins to grow and multiply too much. The result is growth called a tumour.

2
Begin tumours are localised growths -they only cause problems if they put pressure on

nearby tissues, such as the brain.

In this study, we will able to identify the experiences of the child regarding to its

relation to the situation of their parents having cancer. How does this person cope up with

the said situation. What are the struggles of every child whose parent is the patient itself.

Children of cancer patients may go through a distressing time. The aim of this review was

to survey present knowledge on the impact of parental cancer on children and the family.

The impact of cancer on one's family depends on such things as which family

member is ill and the age of the children. A family member's severe illness stretches the

emotional resources of the rest of the immediate and extended family. Both the person

with cancer and the loved one may need one another from their emotions. But the more

openly they discuss tough issues, the greater the scope for family members to support one

another.

Statement of the Problem

In this study, we will able to identify the experiences of the child regarding to its relation

to the situation of their parents having cancer. How does this person cope up with the said

situation. What are the problems encountered of the child regarding to the parent

situation. The reaction of the child knowing that his/her parent diagnosed with cancer.

As we conduct this research we will able to fulfill the following questions:

1.Will this experience affect your happiness and ability to enjoy life in the future?

3
2.How should your parent prepare for their treatment?

(Paano nyo pinaghandaan ang paggagamot?)

3.How will your parents diagnosis affect your life?

4. As Being a son or daughter what you can do to help with your parent/s?

(Paano mo natutulungan ang magulang mo bilang anak?)

5.It was hard enough to juggle all your responsibilities as a son/ daughter?

6.how do you handle this kind of situation?

(Paano mo na lalagpasan yung sitwasyon?)

7.Is this affecting your studies regarding to your parent/s having a cancer?

8. How does it feel knowing that your parent have cancer?

9. How long did your parent suffer this illness?

(Gaano katagal ng nararanasan ito?)

10. How did you accept the situation?

(Paano mo natanggap ang sitwasyon?)

4
11. What are the steps that you should do to passed this challenges?

12. Does this situation affects the attitude of your parent?

13. How hard it is for you to see your parent like that?

14. Is there times you want to give up or your parent want to give up?

15. How much did your family pay in the hospital?

(Magkano ang nagastos sa pampagamot?)

16. How does it feel having a parent who has a cancer?

17. When do you know that your parent has a cancer?

18. As a child, how did you make your parent feel that your strong?

cancer?)

19. How did you manage to be strong while thi is happening?

5

may malalalang karamdaman ?)

20. How does the situation affects your study?

(Paano nakaapekto ang sitwasyon sa iyong pag-aaral?)

Indicate scope and delimitation

What were included in your study? What were not included in your study? This

section must answer the who, what, when and where in your study.

Cite benefits and beneficiaries of your research

Who will benefit from the results of your research? How will they benefit in

particular?

Literature Review

This is a written summary of journal articles, books, and other documents that

describethe past and current state of information on the topic of your research study. It

should include RRL dated 2000 to Present.

Definition of Terms

6
Variables and sub-variables or values in conceptual framework are defined,

except very common variables like grade level, gender, school type where the values are

indicated in the framework itself.

II. METHOD

Design

Choose the appropriate qualitative research design. Which qualitative research

design did you use? Why is this the most appropriate approach?

The Sample

The first step leading to the process of collecting quantitative data is to identify

the people and places you plan to study. This involves determining which group of

people will you study, who, specifically, these people are, and how many of them you

will need to involve. Describe the sample. Why and how did you choose them? What

particular characteristics do they have?

The Instrument(s)

This refers to the questionnaire or data gathering tool to be constructed, validated

and administered (Creswell, 2012).

Data Collection Procedure

7
Quickly describe whose permission will be sought and necessary arrangements to

administer instruments or in gathering data. Add details on arrangements and

administration of instruments, as needed.Describe data collection procedure. What steps

did you take to collect data? What materials and equipment did you use?

Data Analysis

This section indicates how the data will be analyzed and reported; it should specify the

qualitative and/or quantitative methods that will be used in analyzing the data gathered

for the research.

<end of page>

III. RESULT

It includes presentation of the findings: organize, classify, analyze and (if

relevant) categorize. It should explain and interpret (e.g., differences between various

studies). As well as asses and evaluate. Infer and explain patterns and themes from data.

What patterns of themes could be drawn out of the data you have gathered?

<end of page>

IV. DISCUSSION

In this part discuss the results of your study/project.

Is it possible to generalize? Make comparisons with other studies. Relate your

findings with relevant literature. Compare and contrast your findings with other existing

data. Do your findings agree with other literature? Are there alternative explanations?

8
What are the strong and weak aspects of your paper? What are the practical implications?

Is more research needed to make recommendations(to be applied in practice)? Did you

find out anything new? Are your findings different?

This is the portion that gives meaning to your research and your results. The

objective of this section is to examine the results, determine whether they solve the

research question, compare them to other results (from related literature), explain and

interpret them, and then draw conclusions or derive generalizations, make

recommendations for applying the results or for further research.

Write recommendations for beneficiaries of results of study cited in Significance

of Study.
