Time Task Visual Justification

7:45am- Morning In order to build a safe school


8:10am Work/Announcements/ community, students come into the
Pledges classroom and secure their
backpacks in their locker. We learn
about citizenship by saying the
Pledge to the Flags (Texas & U.S.),
listen to announcements, and work on
our morning work: students will
practice tracing, writing, sorting,
comparing, counting and more.

8:10am- Calendar Math Sequencing: concepts such as today,


8:25am tomorrow, and yesterday are taught.
Sequencing is a very important
concept for students to develop since
it allows them to recognize patterns
that make the world more
understandable and predictable.

8:25am- Science Our senses work together to let our


8:55am brain know what is going on around
use. Therefore, students will observe
and describe the natural world using
their five senses.

8:55am- Math Whole Group During our whole group lessons, I am


9:15am modeling, showcasing, highlighting,
explaining, and reinforcing. Teacher
modeling is important because
students learn by following examples.

9:15am- Math Vocabulary & The more students hear math words
9:35 am Math Literacy used with activities, the more they will
begin to use math vocabulary
correctly as well as make math
associations with everyday things.

9:35am- Guided Math/Math I explicitly teach students


10:30am Stations/Math what they need to know about math in
Computers small groups. The other students are
working on developing their math
skills and practicing strategies
independently.
10:30am- Wash Hands & Rest Washing hands prevents illnesses
10:40am Room Break and spread of infections to others.
Using the restroom is important to our
comfort and health.

10:40am- Lunch & Recess By providing healthy lunches and


11:40am recess, schools can help their
students perform better in the
classroom and improve their overall
health.

11:45am- C.A.M.P. & C stands for computers, A stands for


12:45pm Conferences art, M stands for music, and P stand
for physical education. C.A.M.P.
activities help promote and develop
multiple intelligences.

12:45pm- Interactive Read Snacking is important for students


1pm Aloud/Snacks/Folders because their smaller stomachs fill up
fast and they burn energy quickly.
During snacking, students will actively
be involved by answering questions
and making predictions about a
storybook.

1pm- TWDL Word Study I use a variety of hands-on activities,


1:20pm to help students actively explore
cognates and word meaning.

1:20pm- Guided Reading & I explicitly teach students


2:20pm Literacy Stations what they need to know about reading
in small groups. The other students
are working on developing their
reading skills and practicing strategies
independently.

2:20pm- Social Studies with Using Social Studies books, I


2:40pm Shared explicitly model the skills of proficient
Reading/Mentor text readers, including reading with
fluency and expression.
2:40pm- Shared Writing with Students learn the forms and
3pm Mini Lesson & Skill functions of writing as they observe
and participate in writing events that
are directed by me.

3pm- Interactive/Independent I make the writing process visual to
