1.How long have you known the applicant and in what capacity?

Ans- Vivekananda joined Reliance Industries Limited as a Graduate Engineering Trainee in July ,2015,
and is now a Manager at MTF(Marine Tank Farm), Jamnagar handling plant maintenance activities.
Being assigned as his mentor and technical guide since his training days, I have had numerous
opportunities to know him better. He joined Reliance through rigorous campus recruitment process
at his Engineering college, NIT Trichy. As a Mechanical engineer , he got into the Reliability Department
and has been directly reporting to me as his L1(Line manager).

2. what do you consider the applicant's most outstanding talent or ability?

Ans- I think Resource and manpower Management is his strongest ability. During his training period ,
he was assigned in the Material Handling section of the soon to be commissioned 360MW Coal
Based Captive Power Plant. Being just out of college, Vivekananda had to face certain challenges
such as leading a team of technicians and contract workers who were even elder and not trained to
take direct orders from such a young manager, but he was able to manage them pretty well. Despite
the tedious physical work involving inspection of 90m high columns and many other equipments, he
is always full of energy and ready to undertake the tasks and challenges assigned to him most
willingly and cheerfully. Overall he always has a very positive can-do attitude in dealing with any
challenge. He is a commendable resource to have.

3. what do you consider the applicant's chief liabilities and weaknesses?

Ans- Vivekananda has this tendency to become discouraged or to take criticism of his ideas too
personally. However he has improved a lot on it. He is quite an idealist sort of person who is
sometimes hesistant to compromise on certain activities even though it would benefit the business
aspect of the firm.
