Overview of portfolio
Rafael Kfouri is an award-winning graphic designer currently working for AlmapBBDO. He previously worked at Wieden+Kennedy Portland.
The one-page portfolio site is a tricky thing to pull off, but Kfouri succeeds well in giving his colourful and impactful visuals – including single images
and collages – room to breathe. Giving them almost the entire width of the screen, with just a couple of slim sidebars for context, allows visitors to
enjoy and appreciate the wide scope of his work at a leisurely pace.
• Amazing work • Possible use of pages to divide up different types of projects but
• variety of projects visible otherwise I don’t think this portfolio needs to be improved at all as it
• one page, with scroller which is a great touch in my opinion is so professional and neatly layed out with an incredible showcase of
work.
Overview of portfolio
• This portfolio is an online portfolio showcasing a few bits of work from past to present to give my
• clients a basic understanding of my “style” and the type of design I’m capable of.
Projects included
• Logo Design
• Event Poster Designs
• Social Media Branding
• Advertising Concepts
Portfolio evaluation
I think my portfolio turned out to be quite decent as it is layed out neatly, with
lots of my past to present work included. It is, however jumbled up in a way even
though I tried to set them out in categories it would have been better, and more
effective if I had all the categories in a row and once clicked on, it would showcase
all the projects I have done within that category instead of a big page with all my
work on.

This is a photography portfolio, Marvin specialises in photography for weddings and black and white photography.
The layout is very simple but very effective with his use of black, yellow and white which is his on-going theme throughout. The CV as a whole is really
easy to follow and aethetically pleasing.
Overview of creative CV
This CV is a graphic design based CV with obvious use of his abilities to showcase a wonderfully made infographical layed out CV. The way he used
giagrams and other relatable tools instead of overwhelming text is a great way to attract the eye and create an interest for the reader.

Overview of creative CV
I created this in Photoshop CC with the ambition of creating an eye-catching and visually appealing cv to “wow” my po-
tential bosses. It contains infographics and catchy symbols which creates a pleasant CV and visually appealing.
CV evaluation
I think this meets the project requirments, it is layed out well with all parts to it easily readable and understandable. I
made it easy to understand with a thought process of minimalism which won’t bore the reader.
I think it went well and is a good CV

Why it is important to use a cover letter for applying for jobs / placement and courses.

so it is important to write to impress.

• Clear presentation
• In depth life stories
• Facts about yourself
• too much
• What makes you good at what you do
• too little
• Who you are and what your aim is.

Discuss why communication and presentation skills are important for progression within art and design education or related employment
Communication and presentation will help with delivering project proposals and it will help with understanding other people’s thoughts and opinions.
Bad communication will result in a bad outcome, for example if you’re giving a bad presentation to your potential boss/clients then they’ll think that the presentation you just delivered will be reflected in the quality of your
work which isn’t true. Verbal communication will help with interviews too, if you have bad communication skills then it will be picked up on in interviews and may result in a declined interview/job position.
CV:
A CV will help the agency determain whether you are fit for purpose and it allows yourself to stand out from the rest and impress.

Portfolios are the most important communication/presentation style and always will be. It is presenting people with your past work and skills. Without a portfolio people
won’t be able to judge your style of work and abilities leaving you without a creative job.

Is anything holding you back and if so, how could you change this?
I think my motivation levels are holding me back, I could possibly change this by setting myself targets and goals
or even personal treats like if I pass a course I’d take myself on holiday.
Overall:
By the end of 2 years I would like to pass the course, I will do this by trying my hardest in the course. The only help I’d like is guidance and to be informed exactly what I need to do to pass.
